It's actually down to Hajduk whether they loan him next season unfortunately, they still have the player's contract rights until Summer 2025 when he officially joins us. It was Hajduk that decided to loan him out because he hadn't made an appearance that season up to January for them since his transfer to us was announced.
Hopefully they will have taken notice of his loan in Poland and decide to bring him in to the first team next season, figuring that having a class CB for a year is better than keeping him out of the team because he won't feature beyond next season.
We'll have a say in where he goes on loan as part of the agreement with Hajduk when we agreed to sign him. So even though it will technically be Hajduk that are loaning him, Andy Scoulding will pretty much decide where he goes next season.

Of course we'll have some input, it is ultimately down to Hajduk whether they bring him into the first team or loan him out again though, if they have any intentions of playing him they're not gonna give a fuck where we want him to go on loan, even if they only want him for the bench.

I think their Chairman has been pretty explicit in the past that his time there is over and that we'll decide where he'll go out on loan before he joins us next summer

This kid, plus Dragusin as BACK UP options to VDV & Romero doesn't even bear thinking about...

...and that's not even taking Dorrington or Phillips into consideration!!!

Is it possible we see a time where we have SIX top quality CDs at the club at the same time...?
Or is this just paving the way for Romero's inevitable departure to Real in a year or so??

Not a hope.

The youngsters might never make it and the other two will be gone in the next two years.

Boo!!!!!

At least lemme hope, without crushing my dreams before we've even SEEN them come to fruition!!

THIS is why we'll never have a powerful, full squad capable of challenging on all fronts!
4 TOP quality CBs and TWO up and coming promising youngsters oozing potential is surely the kind of strength in depth you need? For ALL positions?

Westerlo finished 11th in the regular season in the Belgian league this past season. And 8th the season before that. So a steady mid table team it seems.

Mid table to bottom team - only 16 teams in the league.

It'll be a good choice of club in that the club will need to defend more than attack in bottom half of table, so he'll be very involved

They are great at developing players over there, I would leave it to them to be honest. They are probably better at it than our staff.

Think we've done a lot recently to try and fix that by bringing in people to oversee development and loans. More confident in that process than a couple of years ago and was pretty happy with Vuskovic's last loan out which we had a hand in organising.
