Palace won the cup with it. Man Utd may not be up at the top but they will prob be top 7/8.
Chelsea won the lge with Conte playing it.
That does not make Palace a top team. Nor is Man Utd a top team (now).
Yes, I am aware that Chelski won the EPL playing 3-5-2 with Conte in charge. But that's back in 2016-17 while still having Roman money; and not repeated since. Not even by Conte - who reverted to 4-3-3 at Napoli.

Levy is not running the club now. How about we give a chance for the current owners (or any potential new owners) to see how they run the club first. If I was so negative about the club, I would not have supported the club since 1970.
Ironically this is actually a case where Levy had the opposite problem. I can't think of a single case in the past 20-odd years where we've sold a very promising young player that was on a long contract. If anything he was too reluctant to sell players and we held onto some of them too long (Alli, Dier, Rose, etc.). And when we did sell superstars like Bale, Modric and Kane it was for mega money after a good few years.

With the new bunch allegedly putting in money I'd be amazed if they suddenly decided we're a selling club either. They'll be rubbing their hands together at the thought of Vuskovic signing a new deal.

Has anyone actually watched a whole game? Feels like people are just hyping him without watching him, unless they watch Hamburg and Belgian football regularly. more pace in the the premier league, there’s no guarantee anyway.
Watched them a few times on the telly...and gonna go to the ground a couple times in the NY as got business meets not too far away.

Kid has obvious talent. What strikes me most is how much character and personality he shows at such a young age. Still needs to work on his composure, positioning and decision-making, but man is he an exciting prospect.

Should be noted, that although we’ve bodged many young talents development, we’ve made all the right moves with Vuskovic.

Both loans were outstanding (Poland and Belgium) Bringing him in pre-season, letting him see there’s a level he wasn’t then at. Then loaning him to a club his Bro played(s) at, was brave given the context, but he no doubt had been numerous times to see his older brother there, so had a knowledge of the club to remove much of the settling difficulties.

Hope we get him on a 5+1 or such next summer if not earlier, then let him decide if he thinks he can win a place, or give him a Prem loan if not.

The blend of characteristics between Romero, Vuskovic, VDV is really phenomenal if it can blend (good rotations and some 3 at the back games Vs elites).

He is going to be a tough one for us to keep imo.
Real possibility that we sell him at the end of the season for a huge profit without him ever playing in the PL for us.
He looks like becoming a high calibre CB and clubs that pay more wages than us will circle.
Massive disappointment if that occurs of course. These are the types of young player to build the squad around.
Im old enough to remember when we used to be worried Real were going to activate the buy back clause for reguillion!
We are not a selling club , you could say sometimes that is actually to our detriment but it’s always easy in hindsight to say these things , however there is no way we are going to cash in on this kind of potential , we are building for the future and he is very much a part of that!

He did play as a DM at a younger age. Could be a gun there but most on here ridicule these suggestions thinking a CB can only play CB.

Completely different skillset playing as a DM, that's why it gets ridiculed.

DM is a pretty hard position to master as you need spatial awareness, constantly scan, set the tempo and create space to receive the ball, CB's aren't really taught this.

I can't think of any player that's been converted from a CB to DM.

Declan Rice and John Stones are examples of being very adept in both positions. Which came first, I’ve no idea.

Pretty sure Vincent Kompany went the other way, from mid to defence.

Stone being the exception I think

Kompany started out as a DM at Anderlecht and Rice same as West Ham, very rarely you see players go the other way

Actually Ledley went from CB to DM but again an odd exception because he was a pretty awesome player, mind you he was given the runaround by Riquelme in that position which is kinda understandable tbf.

Very sure Rice was a centre back in his youth days at Chelsea and West Ham.
