Match Luton (A) Saturday 7th October - 12:30

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Think we should go with.

Loris, Royle, Dier, Davies, Sess (if fit), Skippy, Holjbjerg, Gill with Forster coming in to play as a #10 target man. Son and Kulu to play deep, but play off the channels and knock downs by Forster.

#gloryglory. Can’t be too careful away.

Is that reallly the outside of their stadium?

No chance there are players rested. Son has 6 goals in September, and will be keen to keep it up. If he trains he'll play.

Full strength and go into the international break on a high.

This is a massive opportunity for us, and I'm sure Ange knows that. I don't expect any rotation unless we have injuries.

With Woolwich playing City, City dropping points is a realistic though, which means we could go into the international break top of the table.

Is this game on or is the Liverpool replay on this date?

Start with the strongest team available, get the result in the bag and then rest up. I'm worried Son and Madders carrying knocks for weeks - both have been coming off early recently.

5-0 win. Veliz with a late brace. COYS

Because I know how Spurs are, a comfortable win here would actually be about an equal achievement for Ange in my eyes as beating Liverpool or drawing at the Emirates.

Has anyone actually watched Luton this season? Do they tend to sit back, soak up pressure and look to break on the counter? You'd assume so due to their overall lack of quality, but I haven't got a clue?

If they're just going to sit back, this probably isn't the game for Son. Certainly not as a striker, perhaps a return back to left wing for him and we aim some crosses into the head of Richarlison? No idea.

They wouldn't be naive enough to try and play football against us?

They play Burnley tomorrow, so I doubt we'll even get a good understanding of what they're going to do then either considering Burnley are performing even worse than them (Though I guess are at least a football playing side)
I had not pencilled in Luton v Burnley as a game I wanted to watch!
I'll try to catch a few minutes tomorrow.

Drop Sonny just because and get Raziak on a free for this game. Extra target against the low blockade and will defend corners better 🤯

Coming up to international break - but that doesn't mean most of our players get a break eg South Korea have matches scheduled on 13th and 17th October so every chance Son will be called up for those.

So I'd look at which players might be playing during international break and anyone carrying a knock now, might be sensible not to start them (and Son being subbed on 60 mins v Liverpool probably falls into that category.

Hopefully Johnson is fit enough to start and otherwise start with our strongest team, other than those carrying knocks.

Quite like to see if Donley can get a few mins off bench - prolific in youth football and good Maddison understudy, can he do it in mens football (and one match in efl trophy suggests he might)

Vicario
Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie
Bissouma, Sarr
Maddison
Johnson, Richarlison, Kulusevski
subs : Forster, Royal, Davies, Phillips, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Solomon, Son, Donley
Son is our only prolific goal scorer.

Has to start for me.
