Match Luton (A) Saturday 7th October - 12:30

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Do not fuck about with changes unless we have injuries, Lets try and keep the same team as the weekend!
If BJ was fit then I would have considered a change but apparently he aint so lets go and get this done and hopefully enjoy the rest of the weekend!

"Rest"

Why? It's a 1 game per week season......
Sorry … rotate. Is he not a yellow away from a suspension. Also I anticipate an agricultural approach from Luton and perhaps some aerial cover from royal could be good.
Also even with one game a week we need to use fringe players… can’t be having another conte like 11 where nobody else can get a look in.

The fact that people are genuinely scared and nervous at playing Luton is utterly insane. They are one of the worst PL teams I have ever seen. It shows plenty of you are still scarred from Conte and Mourinho and still haven’t bought into Ange.

“We got to respect Luton, we can’t take it lightly” ITS FUCKING LUTON.

They are hopeless to be honest. Big striker can cause problems but terrible at the back and their keeper is worse than Bobby Mimms

Different word/same meaning..... Same outcome...... No sense in "rotating".

Is he not a yellow away from a suspension.

No.

....But even if he was; they don't magically disappear if we drop him for a game.

You're over-thinking things............ If you only play one game per week you play your strongest possible team every week..... Impress the gaffa in training.... EARN your start there.

No-one's "scared"; they're just not complacent dickheads like the majority of Dippers & Arse fans.......

Don't take it lightly..... Full strength.... Win the game.

But that's the thing, we do!

Son & Maddison have both been carrying knocks recently... and Johnson was ruled out last Saturday...

Whilst I don't think we should drop both, I'd start whoever is fitter out of Son/Maddison, with maybe Richie in for Son in the first half...
If Maddison and Son can manage a half each, I'd swap them out at HT/or on the hour, and see if the likes of Solomon, Johnson (if fit) Kulu or Veliz can truly step in...

There's only one way we're gonna find out, and I'd rather try it Saturday, than against much stiffer opposition after the Int. Break.

Hopefully Sonny stays home during the break, and Maddison can't dislodge Bellingham!

So many people are saying to start Donley and Veliz.

No.

Let’s not be cocky and disrespect Luton, start full strength, and then if we have the game under control towards the end and are a few goals ahead, then bring the young lads on

I'm not sure I've seen anyone saying to start them.

Looking at our squad both are probably forward options on the bench as Johnson, Perisic and Gil are injured - I'd be more than happy for Donley to come on if we are ahead to see how he does given he's bossing u21 sides. But as starters - not unless injuries are much worse than they are today as we should have Son, Richarlison, Kulssevski with Solomon also available as starting options.

People always talk about resting players but the way you rest players is to start them and bring them off when you've won the game, it's just ass backwards to not start your key players if you're trying to rest them because it just sends out all kinds of the wrong messages to your own players and the opposition, for example imaging them seeing us line up with Emerson and Skipp in our starting lineup as opposed to Porro and Maddison, imagine the kind of boost they'd get and at the same time how much of a downer it puts on our players - It's exactly the same logic when we used to rest Kane for cup games and bring him on when we are chasing the game.

What we should be doing is making tactical changes so rather than 'rest' Son for this I'd play Richy because Son won't have any space to play in whilst Richy can occupy their CB's and win loads of fouls, apart from that there is literally no other need to rest any player - they have been resting all fucking week, that is the entire point of having the advantage of playing 1 game a week!

If (!) you don't have respect to every other single club - then you haven't to wonder that you can lose the game!
Respect - Fucking Luton or any other fucking Club - Concentration, Will, once again respect and you have the best chance to win the match!

ONLY TOTTENHAM!
COYS!

Sucks Johnson isn’t fit for this one but agree with everyone saying we need to start strong.

It’d be great if one of Gil or Lo Celso were fit for this

Agree with everything you said apart from richy winning fouls. He gives more away than he gets. Richy needs space because he’s not tidy enough with his touch. If sonny is 70% fit then start him and bring him off like we’ve done in the last two games which has worked. I get that there is no space for sonny to get in behind but his first against Woolwich and his goal on Saturday are the types of chances we will create and that only he will score.Richy won’t score those types of goals.
If you are in that Luton team and see the names of Royal,Skipp,Davies,Hojbjerg and Richarlison you get a boost 100%. That’s why we shouldn’t fuck about with resting or rotating players. Solomon is more suited than Richy on the left for this type of game.
