Wait what... so the fact that he got us to final was soley on him, but the fact we did not actually win the trophy was on ALL players? That is ... some quite weird logic I have to say...

By that logic Moura was utter shit, it took Llorente to score a goal that even got us to SF of CL...
I mean. What?

Moura was a poor transfer all in all. One of the most expensive in our history at the point of signing and never lived up to expectations. Ofc it was partly fault of the club, it was visible long time ago that he was not good enough and should have been moved on much earlier. Keeping subpar players has been significant part of our fall from grace in past 5 years
I didn't say it was solely down to him but his hattrick played a big part in getting us there. When you look at all the disappointing signings we've made down the years, he doesn't even come close to being the worse transfer, he was just a decent squad player, we need better but the way you're going is over the top.

I think we can all agree he'll be an upgrade on Moura (which I guess is the point, you wanna strengthen each position that needs addressing)

Moura wasn't a starter, neither will Solomon (or Gil) be... but he's definitely an improvement on a position that is now vacant with Moura leaving.

Don't forget, we're also getting a year older Gil back, with a seasons' more European experience, so hopefully that's improved him too, and justified the loan...

Likewise Ndombele, if he DOES stay, will surely have benefited from his winning experience at Napoli...

It's probably only Reggie and Lo Celso that are coming back as the same players... and will no doubt be moved on.

I think the Solomon signing will work out, simply cos we haven't signed him to be a main first team starter, but he will surely be a GENUINELY very good back up option to either Kulu or Son... Which, much as I liked him, Moura really wasn't!
Moura, Solomon, Salah are similar players. Small frame, excellent dribbler with great pace

Main thing that sets them apart is decision making.

Nothing so far suggest Solomon is better than Moura, yet. I prefer Solomon mainly because he is alot younger with more potential to improve

I have absolutely no interest in getting political here, but the club posted a Facebook photo of Solomon jumping (he's got pretty serious ups), and I noticed an inordinate number of "angry reactions" to the photo. So I read some of the comments, and he's getting attacked for being Israeli. That is fucked.

And given our association with the Jewish community and some opposing supporters' extreme comfort with anti-Semitic chants, I think the club is going to have to go to special lengths to protect Solomon from religious and ethnic abuse. Sadly, I can see this getting ugly.

Our social media fans being social media fans again but according to pathetic abuse sympathisers like TonySoprano TonySoprano you should just ignore it because that's what you ought to expect which is seriously dumb logic.

I'm sure the club will do their best to shut it down, the people who defend this shit are just as pathetic as those who make the comments.

I think its just more than decision making that sets Moura and Salah apart....

No, it is not.

I also said same thing - he is not even close to being worst transfer.
Lo Celso, Sanchez, Ndombele, Janssen, Sissoko... etc... lot of WORSE transfers. But not being worst does not constitute good or even adequate.

As I said - on 10 point scale Moura transfer was 4 or 4.5.
Ndombele and Lo Celso 0
Sanchez like 2....

Since he came here in 2018 which signings have given value for their transfer fee?

Willing to bet that a lot of those accounts will.be bots.

Not willing to speculate on who is the source of those bots but in be past they have often been from foreign governments

Careful using “our” and “fans”.

The vast majority won’t even be real people.

Then a decent chunk of what’s left after won’t be ours or even fans.

Yes, there will be anti semites in our fan base but very few

I agree with you, Manor is EPL ready right now, world-class dribbler who leaves defenders out for dead (have you ever felt pity for an opponent defender?) to a point when the defender knows it is coming and still can't stop him, he will merit 2-defenders, that leaves the midfielder coming from behind with tons of space and time on the ball, Son should move to the middle/left he will have a carrier year imo,

The best part about him for me he has so much room to improve, none of it is the stuff you have to be born with, the strength of his kicks needs improvement, his decision making will improve for sure now that he will be playing with world-class footballers, imho he couldn't pick a better team to compliment his style of football, Fulham are a much better team without the ball than with, Your team and club history playing open football with lots of spaces can only compliment his style of play,
Add to that his character, he's such a good lad, you will not see him in clubs, very humble loved by everyone, the prince of Israel and role model, expect lots of Israelis in the stands :)

Hjojberg. Bentancur.
Also more or less Bergwijn. But just because we got similar amount back from selling him....

But yea, this is not a long list. I agree.
P.S this is going very off-topic from Solomon, so I'll cut it out now :D .
I think you can see from your answer, he has been one of the best signings of the last 5 years. There is a long list of players that haven't performed, hence the reason why I said I need to see how Solomon performs before I consider him an upgrade.

In my opinion, you will enjoy Manor very much, the boy is on a significant improvement trend and will continue to progress in the future.
Good and easygoing personality, no ego, successful dribble, and in short, good luck Manor we waiting for you in the national team!

Romero and Richarlison talking about Solomon...
