I thought it odd when we first bought him. He played as a wing back for Wolves and at first played in a flat back four under Mourinho for us didn't he? This didn't suit his play and he never really got good or consistent for quite some time. It wasn't until we switched to a back three with wing backs that he actually looked okay. Not overly fussed at him going out on loan - the termination of the contract due to the oversight by the club is another clown moment for our "owners".

I do hope Pedro Porro is a great deal more dynamic!

Well, I would like to belive not being complete idiot.
But you can tell me - how did this thing looked to you? Did it seemed like a thought through plan?
By lunch time he was supposed to go on a loan. And 5 minutes before deadline the announcement came about releasing him.

That all sounds very clueless and panicky shit to me.
Player held ALL the leverage here.

No but that doesn't stop him doing idiotic things.

He made an absolute ricket on this one.

He also blew a ton of money on the stadium build by saving thruppence ha'penny on the Project management and doing it himself. Great stuff.

The man is an arrogant c*nt. Maybe he just doesn't take enough advice because he's an absolute cretin at times.

4) I MYSELF have UNDERSTANDING what Conte might require. But I have 0 tools to bring them to life. Same goes for Royal unfortunately. And this has been proven in more instances then Dohertys inability, yet Doc had more to show for.
5) If you have two fairly poor options, for one you could generate money from and from other you could not. Then rational option would be actually cash in from the below-standard player who can generate some return and use the one that cannot. I mean - if you have two cars but need only one. They are of equal comfort, reliability, fuel economy, etc. But one you could sell for 10 000£ and other you would have to give away free... then obviously you would sell the 10k worth car and keep using the one that would not have value?!?

Thankfully the club knew way better. Doherty never got within a mile of the level Royal is consistently hitting. Either defensive or offensively. By the way anyone know how Doherty is doing in Spain...boss level?
 
For a horrible moment, I thought this thread had been bumped because it was another ex-player winning a trophy.
