Ex-Spurs Player Matt Doherty

Before his injury Doc got 2 goals and 3 assists in his previous 7 games (which is when he broke back into the starting eleven).

In fact, Doherty played a total of 872 minutes last season. That's just under 10 league starts. And he had a hand in 6 goals (2 goals, 4 assists).

In fact you can add another EPL assist which was mysteriously taken from Doc.

needs to start against wolves surely. emerson as much as he is likeable and tries his best, the quality is lacking and he is in too much of an important position. need doc on to cause havoc in the final third.

Don’t forget that he had a serious injury at the end of last season and Conte said at the start of preseason that he was behind the others as a result.

Conte is extremely strict on the physical condition of players so it shouldn’t be a surprise that Doherty has been behind Emerson so far. Hopefully with the games coming up he will get some minutes, we badly need an offensive threat from the RWB position and Doherty was in superb form when he actually got a run of games there last season. He was linking up with Deki/Kane in a way that Emerson can never do.

Even though I would prefer Spence to have a go at RWB why is Doherty so out of favour now?
Must be over the injury?

Would have thought being besties with Kane would have helped his cause more.

Surely Kane has gone to Conte by now and said gaffer please get this Brazilian fraud out of the starting XI! We have no threat on the right.

Tbh Doc and Spence should both be embarassed that they can't get in the team.
