I think everybody needs to cut Doherty some slack. Yes he had a bad game overall last night, but this is the first competitive game he's practically played in over 5 months. He should be playing again against Armenia on Tuesday night, hopefully he'll improve.

Maybe Dohey responds well to borderline bullying. Spurs fans spent a year calling him shit, then he turned to gold late last season. More likely it's just too harsh though.
This is the difference. Under all circumstances Pep, Klopp, Ancelotti etc. protect their players in the media. Conte is very Mourinho-esque in this regard.

That November, December, January where we had that ridiculous injury crisis in CM and he and Winks carried us through the busiest period of the season playing 2-3 times a week for 7 weeks straight.
