Manager Mauricio Pochettino

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

As predominantly a Rangers fan, but also a fan of Spurs, I feel like I am in less of a position to comment than most on here, however, I shall. The decision not to put Lennon on for either Chadli or Lamela earlier than 10 minutes before the end was down to Pochettino, but this decision alone was not the sole contributor. As I say, Rangers are my main passion, so for me to claim to have a full knowledge of what goes on at White Hart Lane would be incorrect, but I think that Spurs suffer from having a board and a chairman who do not feel the need to financially back the club in the way they should. Tottenham is a club of massive stature, a proud name in football and one which in all honesty I believe should be pushing for the top 4 on a regular basis. This will not happen unless a couple of really world class players can be attracted to the lane. I'm coming to see Spurs for the first time on Dec 6th against Palace, and cannot wait. COYS

+ 9 games @ ( approx ) £40 a game is £360. If they want us to give this mob time why they charging ? Anyone feel like the type of football is £360 of value ? I don't. Give me my money back and I'll give them time

No one forces you to pay for football...

(I do agree it is overpriced on the whole)

There were 86 teams that finished below us in the football leagues last year, we are not that shit. We are just not as good as we think we are.

What has Lennon done in his sub appearances so far this season? In the ideal world, we bring him on and he gets at the tired opposition fullback and sends in crosses past first man. This doesn't happen unfortunately.

Indeed, I agree that Lennon's impact has been less than desired when put on as a sub, but you never know unless you try. Bearing in mind I'm currently supporting a team toiling through the second tier of Scottish football, anyone who can run, pass and shoot even a little bit looks like bloody Messi to me haha!

Does everyone remember before the season there was a thread or at least a big chunk of a thread that was dedicated to an acceptable minimum finish? There was even a poll. Pretty sure I remember the massive majority of you saying lower than 7th and he needs to go. We're in the bottom half of the table right now with zero light at the end of the tunnel. I'm not saying he needs to be sacked, because that's the absolute worst decision they could make right now. But, I can absolutely understand where people's utter frustration stems from. The loss today was VERY avoidable and I certainly place that on the shoulders of Pochettino.

I think that the fiasco with Kane in goal partially had Poch shook in terms of why he took so long to make his substitutions. I don't know if Townsend took a knock in practice or what, but why he wasn't there as a sub is absolutely stunning. Not that I'm a huge fan, but he certainly brings more to the party than Lennon. Right after the 60th minute I was saying he needs to bring on Kane and shift to a 4-4-2.

There were lapses of judgement both on and off the pitch.

..You scrap past West Brom, you draw 0-0 at City by parking a bus and you scrap past a poor Newcastle. You don't get your team doing that, your bang in trouble. FACT.

I agree only in that I'd happily see us scrap/park the bus form time to time. We have one of the top 3 goal keepers in the world, and a half decent centrehalf in Jan; we should have built a rock solid defence and get through this season. Bored of seeing Spurs teams with a soft centre.

But then people moan it's not the Tottenham way.

I just had the most awful premonition. Poch loses his next two Prem games, gets sacked. We do the typical caretaker shit, don't look any better and wind up brining in David Moyes.

Klinsmann could be next manager if Poch goes.

*edit* For the record I'm not in anyway supporting sacking him at this stage, fully behind him still. Would be madness and destabilising.

I doubt Klinsmann would take the job. He's got about the cushiest job ever with US Soccer. He's the technical director and the head coach. He just had his contract extended through the 2018 WC and the USSF president won't sack him unless something catastrophic happens.

We gotta give poch a chance, he's only just started speaking English in the past few weeks so this could make all the difference
:pochbye:

Woopy fuckin do, he's been over a few years now. If I wanted a job in Argentina do you know what the first thing I would do before I got there? Learn the fucking lingo, I am sticking by him but stop making piss poor excuses for how bad we have been so far under him
