tbf there were some pretty bad characters before, telling people to kys daily over year long back and forths. Some threads would have gone up by like 40 pages and it would have just been some bollocks about chess matches or whatsapp groups, barely readable
Chessgate was an entertaining subplot, though.
Mostly I miss Freudlyuchenko's dog walks.

Arcspace and Joe Clash were fucking mental most times, but they were like The Dude's rug...they really tied the room together.
As the person primarily managing said chess competition and the resulting fallout of "ChessGate", to be honest I'm still pretty miffed about it, exactly 10 years later.
We had a really solid group that surprised me in the level of sustained interest and engagement, and actually pretty serious chess started to come together. And to be honest, it was a very useful diversion for me at the time because I was under an enormous amount of stress at work, and my dog was dying, which was driving me to drink way too much, and chess was the only really serious reason that I had at that time to not get home every day and just drown my stress and sorrows in alcohol.
All of that completely died after the cheating allegations came out. People only cared about the drama, and as much as I tried to reignite the thread and the tournament that we had put together, just nobody had any interest anymore.
Maybe, but half the fan base are the same, hesitant to going back there.
I think that’s a polite excuse for the real reason which is, unfortunately, he is no longer a good football manager in 2026.
Just watching it now. He’s a charming fucker. Got to hope de Zerbi can have a similar impact if he keeps us up.

Yes. Vivienne was against Poch returning so much that, they spent months talking to Poch, and we're waiting until after the WC, when he would become available, until circumstances forced their hands due to the threat of relegation..

If Poch is out of work when RDZ moves on, it'll be him.
Personally, I want him back for feels and cos it'll end the constant calls to bring him back but I'm not 100% it'll end well.

He is a really nice man whatever people think about him as a manager. Compare him on this show with Ange, who threw us under the bus then reversed over us.
