Oh I remember. That last year wasn't great football. Lots of sideways passing.
Personally I'm hoping RDZ proves everyone wrong, stays for years and leads us to glory.
But I also want the constant Poch calls to stop.
Plus we all know it will give us a short term boost which will be very welcome indeed.
I don't think its a forgone conclusion that Poch accepts a champo job.
I think he'd accept us 100% this summer...regardless of league.
I'm hoping we won't need to ask him though.

He's a superb manager who deserved better, not just at Spurs.
Was invited to watch PSG at the Parc des Princes recently and got talking to a few people who were at the club when Poch was there. One of them, a rather senior figure who still works for PSG, told me one of his biggest regrets of the past decade was that Poch wasn't given the same chance the club gave Luis Enrique. He said talent-wise there's nothing between them. It's just that when Poch was there, the club was still being run by the superstars and it was okay for them to ignore or straight up mug the manager off...which changed completely when Enrique arrived cause the club realised it wasn't working and that Mbappe & co were just toxic.
More than a great coach, Poch is a terrific human being. Those people I chatted with and most of the journos I know from the French footy press told me Poch is an unreal bloke, so intelligent, funny, kind, generous. The type that remembers your wife & kids' names, the type that knows when you're having a shit time despite pretending all is well and who'll instantly offer his help. Man's just a diamond.

We will never agree on this one . I think his successes have been law of averages, over 25 years you have to get the odd thing right, you think he has done a stellar job . The gap is wider than the Grand Canyon on our views .
