Another reason Poch might leave this summer: third season syndrome, ala Mourinho.
Poch has equally high (if not higher) expectations of his players in terms of workload.
Many of the players are going to the Euros. Double training sessions after that (not such a problem for the England players but maybe for the Belgiums who will actually get through the group stages).
Poch may struggle to replicate this season's form without new investments in players. The Q is: will Levy agree to this?
I'm still 50/50 but the more our form collapses, the more likely I think Poch might be off.
The more our form collapses?
We lost what was a fairly even game against a good West Ham side, on a small shit pitch, when the ref allowed borderline rugby football.
We only got a draw against Woolwich, despite owning the game (11-4 shots on target, 26-10 shots) and forcing a record number of saves from their gk.
Against Dortmund we threw the game. With the lineup we played you can't say anything about our form based on that game.
Before the West Ham game we beat Swansea. Only 2-1, but we totally dominated the game. 34 shots, 15 on target.
We beat Fiorentina 3-0.
Before that we did lose against CP, in a game where we weren't brilliant, and only produced about twice their number of shots, with our 66% possession, but then we used a few backup players (Bentaleb, Onomah, Vorm, Son) and lacked a playmaker in the side.
Then we had the draw against Fiorentina.
Then there were 7 wins in a row.
I guess compared to the 7 wins our form might look unimpressive. But behind the results I can't see much to worry about.
