What about dropping your top league goalscorer and one of the best footballers in the league for your biggest game of the season against a team that's arguably better than you?
also strange, but at least they switched like for like, and one of the replacements was last years player of the season. Also costa has been a bit shit lately.

Why do u have to dramatise the question as if it a ridiculous opinion?

But yes I GENUINELY do.

Walkers started showing a few lapses in concentration lately and when tripps has come in he's played really well. He was MOTM only a few games back and has had several assists.
God you are tetchy. I'm not dramatising anything.

I'm just curious how you conclude that Trippier is in better form than Walker. Walker's contribution is immense. Never lets us down. Absolute machine up & down his flank, offensively & defensively. Assists plenty.

Trippier is a decent back up for rotation.

i like trippier a lot but hes a bit inconsistent- MOM v watford and absolute gash v swansea a week later.

put it this way - i'm fairly sure the chelsea players would have been happier knowing tripps was in the line up. walker must be horrible to play against, he literally never stops running.

Honestly guys, I'm feeling okay about all of this. The trend line for Spurs is pointing so steeply upwards that it's hard for set-backs like this to permanently ruin my mood.

Oh god I fucking hate Chelsea. I've hated Chelsea since before I even started watching football; I really wanted that win. So don't get me wrong, the way the trophies look likely to shake out at the end of this season is a major slap in the face or punch in the balls, but we've already achieved so much more this season than anyone else gave us credit for, and the fact that still nobody gives us credit but everybody wants to strip our club clean of talent frustrates me but ultimately makes me laugh.

We've still got a chance at the title. Not a great one considering Chelsea's run-in, but really we only need a single favorable weekend to violently shift the odds back in a more favorable direction.

We're used to disappointment. But to be sitting second in the league still, challenging for the title for the second year running, with the youngest and hottest talent around that everyone is envious of. It's hard for me to be disappointed then.

Tripps has 3 assists in 4 appearances. Walker has 5 in 29.

Not saying Walker wouldn't be my first choice but on recent form I think Walker has dipped and Trippier has deserved to retain his place when played.

No controversy. I'm perfectly happy if u disagree.

Wouldn't it be more like playing Victor Moses wing back despite having Ivanovic fit? Which he had done at the beginning of the season and since then, no one has batted an eyelid.

no, because Moses was actually told by Conte it was his new position and coached properly to do this, not thrust in as a one off.

it also wasn't an fa cup semi final.

plus hazard is equally as defensively inept as son - i thought it was a apt comparison.
would you find it odd if hazard lined up there?

I can tell you where this is headed.

You'll make perfectly reasonably responses.

He'll concede nothing because he's 100% right.

Then after he's run out of anything relevant to say u'll get a string of play ground taunts.

I'd pass if I were you trust me.

In fairness I'm not the only one who's called you out for being a stroppy little bugger. Seems to be a fairly common taunt as you put it.

The Hazard and Son comparison is a fair one.

Can we all just accept that Poch got it wrong.....I'd had a few pints, but that day I remember the outstanding thing was me screaming "where's the fucking left back" about 50 times.

At one point, I had no idea what we were playing. I literally didnt see Walker when he came on, and thought the sub was just bizarre, as Son was doing well going forward. No idea why he didnt just take Trippier off for Walker and go four at the back.

Again, regarding Wembley, I doubt Poch would have done that at WHL.....dont know why we cant just do our thing there. Back to basics tomorrow please Poch.

People have said some good things about Tottenham recently but questions start to be asked after failing to win a big game…
Mauricio: “No doubt. First of all, to have the possibility to win titles you need to arrive at that level... Last season we finished third, it was the best place in the Premier League for Tottenham and now we are second and fighting with the big sides with a completely different project but the mentality is fantastic. The mentality is to win, always, but when you compete with Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, come on – the players deserve full credit. Remove that idea because that is not true. They are winners. Another thing is to win titles but, for me, they are winners.”
He forgot to mention Ars... oh Mauricio you little tease!

Nope we can't all just agree that. But we can draw a line under the topic.
