The same three moaning about not having enough money for transfers at City, United and Chelsea?
![]()
So that's at least six titles won (plus the ect (sic)) in just 'the past 3 seasons' that's some feckin' achievement .... either that or you haven't got a freckin clue .....
and just which of these 'guaranteed winning' managers won't win the EPL this year? that's despite all having spent vastly more than Poch .....
You need to think this through... and the meaning of the word ‘coincided’.
This football management malarkey is an absolute piece of piss ain't it.Yes it is a coincidence - Lloris was already a Champions League veteran and France #1, Vertonghen a Rolls Royce. Dembele was a beast at Fulham, Lamela’s best season of his career came at Roma, Walker and Rose were naturally maturing via beneficial loans and experience, while Eriksen was widely regarded as a wonderkid from his late teens at Ajax and always seemed destined for a higher level. Alli was a destroying United for MK as a baby, pre-Pocchettino. And then there’s Kane, who’s attitude, intensity and dedication would have seen him at this level regardless of who’s coaching him. Levy got him Alderweireld and Wanyama, two of the best in the league in their position.
All of these players were naturally destined to be very good anyway - he’s obviously played his part in cultivating their talent, but I wouldn’t accredit him with their entire development.
He’s been very lucky to inherit such an upwardly mobile club and talented squad - he’s given a lot back, but it’s not like he’s worked Clough-esque miracles or put any trophies in the cabinet, something which the club deserves, and given the talent pool available, should be doing.
Anyway to respond to the twat
Fergie dominated the league when he had the most money. He even got beaten to it by Wenger who had less resources. As soon as Chavs got money suddenly Fergie wasn't the force he once was, hmm wonder why. Money you cunt that's why.
Conte spends and got lucky he had a Chavs team who reaped the benefits of having no European football due to his twat team downing tools the season before.
Poch is without a doubt pound for pound the best manager in the league by far.
Jose cannot coach his team to play through teams, he makes them organised and relies on brilliance of world class players.
Conte is similar, last season Chavs were Leicester with Hazard/Willian/Pedro/Costa. Boring wig wearing anti football cunt.
From 2006-2013, Ferguson won 6 titles, lost one by goal difference, won 3 League Cups and reached 3 European Cup finals, winning one and losing the other two to what’s widely regarded as the best club side of the past 20 years, Barcelona; all in an era where he was thoroughly outspent by Chelsea and City. His final few seasons prominently featured a shambolic young De Gea, Jonny Evans, Tom Cleverley, Danny Welbeck, a raft of crocked veterans and Paul Scholes pulled out of retirement because the Glazers wouldn’t sanction the signing of a proper midfielder.
That era saw him begrudgingly replace Ronaldo and Tevez with Valencia and latter-day Owen because the owners pocketed most of the CR fee, and he was still winning. To imply that Ferguson was primarily dependent on financial muscle when he kept his empire from being submerged by a rising tide of oil for the best part of a decade is moronic; if you’re going to be condescending and call names, at least have legitimate points to project with the vitriol.
‘Anti-football’ when necessary is better than naive idealism; Keegan and Zeman won plaudits for their style and dogma, but fuck all else. The common theme among these loveable losers is they take some kind of moral victory in their failure; the same applies to post-2004 Wenger, but at least he’s found a niche with the FA Cup.
Pocchettino has a great squad of players, better than those that have won the previous two league titles, and if the club finishes outside the top 4 this year as is looking likely, as well as failing to win anything again, he should be scrutinised accordingly.
We don't have £300m to spend.Pochettino needs to be backed by Levy in the same way Mourinho was backed by his chief executive Woodward.

True. It really is amazing to think that we are only a couple of signings away from realistically catching those money juggernauts and winning the league after so many years staring into the abyss.

They have a right to ask the question, even if the stories are speculative (which I hate) but after every conference it has become the norm (not just Poch but all managers, it's just boring, same question over and over), but during the same conference is simply taking the piss and as our press officer says, disrespectful. The gall of these so called journalists. Not content with selling our squad now trying to put Pochettino in a difficult position. How many times are they going to ask if he’s leaving if Real or some other side comes knocking!?! He’s told them he’s happy where he is that should be the end of it.
