Manager Mauricio Pochettino

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Bookies have Wenger and Conte as the front runners .... with Chelsea falling apart I think Conte is a good shout .... if by some miracle they get Poch then we should go for Conte or Zidane, but that won't happen ....
No they dont. As of last night and this morning Poch is clear favourite across the board. Odds on with betvictor, with Wenger 2nd favourite. Conte's as much as 12/1 with some

La Gazetta de lo Sport is joining in on the fun and says that Poch is the main man out of 4 possible names for the Real job (the others being Conte, Sarri and Cannavaro). But they add the twist that if Poch goes then Sarri would prefer to work for us than work for Chavs.

If that scenario somehow came to pass is it too late to add a fancy cigar room to the stadium?

cannavaro seems plausible- hand the torch from one RM former player to another?
wenger seems insane, sarri perhaps but not really "sexy" enough a name, conte had a bad season this past year.

do hope this gives poch some leverage in getting more xfer budget/wages out of levy though.

I think Poch will have a crazy buyout in his contract, the Times are reporting £42.5m (essentially his salary over 5 years), but I think it will be more than that.

Levy long ago went about making the managers contracts more like the players contracts - high buyout fees on the clubs side and low compensation amounts on the managers side.

Madrid's sudden interest in Eriksen is pretty telling, are they trying to lure our players there so that our manager will follow suit?

Regardless, if you believe all the rumours in the papers, we are signing about 80 players this window and losing our manager, striker and star midfielder to a soon to be financially and already morally bankrupt Madrid.

If Poch goes, it will be Levy’s fault.
If he says he wants to go, we should prevent him, make him see out his contract & let him rot managing the under 23’s.
Otherwise it just reinforces us as being a club that sells its best assets to the highest bidder.
Am I doing this right John Thomas John Thomas ?
:troll:
He won’t leave Spurs at this point. He wants to see us into our New Stadium & seems very keen on the next project

a soon to be financially bankrupt Madrid.

I'm interested to know how the richest sports club in the world will soon be bankrupt

I’m a troll because I don’t participate in your endless comfort narratives that do not bear any relation to reality ( your assertion that our new training complex being the result of Poch despite it being devised prior to his arrival being a prime example of that). Right let’s pretend that this isn’t an industry, that this isn’t an occupation to them and that Madrid are not at the top of this pyramid structure of the game. The realities of the modern game don’t apply to us ‘just because’ right? God help Poch if he does leave because the level of vitriol that will be directed at him by your sort will be quite something.

You're a troll because you just post negative bollocks ... no true fan would do that ... claiming our training facility was built as a money making guest house for visiting teams? ..... that's feckin' stupidity of the highest order ... your just trolling for a response, it's not hard to work out

A fan supports his team not digs them up at every opportunity .. that's know as 'trolling' ... get it now?

For once I'm relaxed about our managerial position.

Of all clubs, Real is about the least well-matched to Poch. No control over anything, super-galacticos (what's the Spanish for "show us yer medals then", "I'm not chasing back thanks", "you're going to rotate me with a kid from the yoof?")

It's not as if the Real job doesnt come up for grabs every 2-3 years or so.

Also, for all his success with us, he hasnt won anything, anywhere. That's not to say that he hasnt progressed all 3 clubs - clearly he has. But he hasnt WON anything. Real need to WIN things. Perez may admire Poch, going back to his time at Espanyol, but FFS theyre way more likely to end with a winner like Low. Poch has got into the knock out round of CL ONCE.

1. Too much of a gamble for RM;
2. Not a good match for Poch MO;
3. Levy.

And like I said, if he really wanted the RM job, it makes more sense to get more experience for the next few years and take it when he's a better manager.

Marca reckon today that RM have contacted Pochettino and Löw.

They've also changed tack, they now admit there is no get out clause (the clause that they exclusively revealed) but there is a gentleman's agreement between Levy and MP.

:levywhoa:

It was and we know this because it’s currently being utilised by the Brazilian national side who will being paying a premium for the privilege and our planning permission was supported by the likes of Milan and Barca.

If you would step outside of your rigid groupthink mindset you would see that I said that this is actually a good thing - it generates addtional revenue and profile for the club. But no instead you desperately cling to your false narratives and spit vitriol at those who stray outside of that.

As for what consitutes a supporter - well I refuse to engage in such low brow discourse, It’s beyond juvenile.

Classic trolling .... nobody's buying it ....

Our training ground was built for us, get over it ... 50m on facilities is not covered by Brazil staying there for the next 20 years, not unless they're paying a 2.5 million a year ... you are an idiot ... please stop ....

In every industry there are people with principles. Those who other factors then being on "top of the pyramid" right now. Those whose words and promises carry. People like Eriksen and I believe Poch.

Then there are c*nts who you cannot rely upon who will jump the ship at first moment they can. Like Sol Campbell, Luis Figo. And apparently - you.

Don't make a face that everyone are exactly the same. You can belong to 2nd category but not everyone does.
