As a horse racing boff i Do know hes into his horse racing / breeding .. poch is part of the new ossie ardiles racing syndicate and newsells park stud in royston with a massive spurs fan called graham smith bernel...some very good 2 year olds and top stud stallion called nathaniel. He does genuinely appear to love this club so I think there is a good chance.
Yeah, there is loads of evidence he is as in love with Tottenham as we are, the poor bastard. Evan as PSG boss he was still cutting about in Spurs gear. He still has his family in the home near the training ground and I’m sure would love to return there. He does genuinely appear to love this club so I think there is a good chance.
I’d love to know what went wrong in 2019 between him and Levy. Was it just lack of money or more such as Amazon / Personality clashes / Hitchin was having to put up with our trash Medical department also a factor ? ( i base this purely on the Amazon documentary where they seemed a little too “soft” )So torn about whether I want him back or not. His love for the Club is unquestionable and we witnessed some beautiful play. However, it's a crime that we didn't bag one single trophy during his tenure and his press conference before the CL final was quite frankly, appalling.
In spite of that, I will always have a deep affection for him and I don't want him broken again by the owners.
Looking forward. The dream is he and Ossie meet someone down the horses who has a few hundred billion and give Baldy what he wants to fuck off. Ossie becomes Chairman & Poch wins the lot !
It would be great,
Relegation form results from January onwards and saying that he'd leave if we won the CL might have had something to do with it.I’d love to know what went wrong in 2019 between him and Levy. Memories of Poch are great, but a little tainted by how it all collapsed. 2-7 @ home followed by a 3-0 away. Very dark week that one. And I could not find a way to argue he stayed back then.

It would be great,
Ossie would make poch play his favoured 1-1-9 formation like in 93-94
I think that there were multiple factors. Amazon was one thing, Poch was apparently not super keen on it. But the filming probably helped fund our transfers that summer so he had to bear and grin it since the stadium had eaten up more money than predicted and had only just opened. But the show was obviously a Levy project rather than a Pochettino one.I’d love to know what went wrong in 2019 between him and Levy. So, just to be clear, getting to the CL Final is thanks to Poch, losing that CL Final is thanks to Levy/ENIC?I dont understand this mentality that we shouldnt get Poch back because ‘the football was bad in the last few months’
News flash, we’ve been quite bad for most periods of our modern history. The football has been bad the past 4 years since he left. Not a single manager had us consistently overachieving and hitting the heights that Poch did. None. Not one. He got us into a CL final on the back of a transferless window.
Accepting reality, ENIC and Levy are NEVER going to spend big money to make us title contenders at the expense of profit. Never. So these big spending managers just dont work at Spurs.
Bring Poch back and at worst we will be the fittest squad in the league and play fast flowing football. With all that money Levy spent hiring and sacking managers he could have thrown Poch a few bones in the transfer market.
Bring back the holy son. Its a no brainer.
The power of hindsight I suppose.Would you believe that the person who originally started this thread in 2014 recommending that we hire Pochettino got 8 dislikes?
He is 17/20 on paddy power to get the Chelsea job once potter gets the chop.
I have that season on VHS. Some great goals scored (just plenty more conceded!)
EDIT: Talking shit - it is the 94/95 season I am on about. That opening game against Sheff Wed was great stuff!
Wasn’t that the season where we were deducted 6 points which Sugar’s lawyers later got scrapped?
