Certainly way too early for now and maybe he should never come back anyway, but it's not even 2 years ago that he was more than happy to sign a long-term contract at the chavs (where he failed miserably btw).

he's magic you know... get him back. He has humility and knows what to do. Won't happen of course but whatever happened he wanted what was best for THFC in my opinion. He gets paid like everyone but he didn't have the arrogance or front or make it all about him. Went to Chelsea, yeah it was a job.

He didn’t fail miserably.. he was starting to get them cooking and when he was sacked it was a total shock and the decision was rightly ridiculed by all corners of the media.

Only won 18 of the 38 league matches with one of the most luxurious squads in the country. If anything he was cooking mediocrity. The season was so embarrassing that filthy rich Chelsea(!) were lucky in the end to qualify for the Conference League play-offs.

Yeh Chavs looked great with him at end. Got Cuceralla, Caicado looking like proper footballers. PSG is the stain on his record despite winning the league and cup, never fit there with superstars like Neymar.

They were shit under Potter, worse than Poch and it’s not even Potter’s fault, Chavs bought with a billion a bunch of randoms with a few gems like Palmer and a bunch of average, 2 seasons of massive spending and selling. They started badly but by the end of the season they where playing like a machine similar to how we where. Merasca inherited a fixed Chelsea. He fell out with Egbaili but he left them in a much better place.

They started poorly but from the mid of the season onwards they were getting much better results and playing better football. It looks like they’re slowly regressing under Temu Pep now.

I don’t really understand this tbh….

If he’d take the job right now I’d let him have it but got the chance to lead the US in a home WC. He’s only just got the job. He hardly wants to leave it already?

Is he laying the seeds for summer 2026?

He's putting the feelers out there, it's a bit of strange timing that's for sure.

I want to know what he says after the video is cut off, probably pretty important. He might says he won’t take it now.
There's a longer video which you can view on the sky sports app. Can't remember exactly what he said to be honest but I didn't read too much into it personally. He was asked a direct question and at the start of the interview he referred to an interview he had given shortly after he left where he said that one day he would like to come back. He was just reiterating that in response to the question he was asked. Sky sports obviously put it top of the news feed and try and make a big deal of it but nothing much to see in my opinion.

I just watched it thanks. The article is a better read than the video too actually. He is sometimes hard to understand. Hasnt changed though. He is exactly the same as when he was with us, he will never close the door on an opportunity. Always flirting. We'd have to put up with all that again, but a small price to pay.

The US aren't going to win it plus he might want out of one of the most xenophobic nations on Earth.

I'd prefer Iraola BUT if that's unrealistic, Poch would be fantastic.

No he couldn’t make it any more obvious. Beginning to think he’d ditch the USMNT for the gig at this rate.

I know you think we could do better and maybe we could, but I’m not sure any of the 3 names we’re reported as being interested in are any better options.

If we did end up with him back would you be happier than you are right now with Ange?
