I'm not saying that fatigue doesn't matter.Fatigue matters. You need to rotate the players to make sure the minutes don't wind up in the red zone.
I think the problems we face are partly down to players learning the system, and partly down to some of our players being mistake prone.
The CM/DM don't drop back so quickly to cover the CBs when our fullbacks go forward. Which leaves the CBs exposed, and then causes errors. But the centrebacks don't seem to be on the same page about how high a line they should play, and who's covering what in the ball-over-the-top counter-attacks we face.
We seem to have a lot of trouble picking up the late runners, and cutting off passes to them. We also seem to be hesitant to challenge players early. We'll meet them, and then cover them, but still give them time with the ball to then make the play they choose. I think we should be more aggressive in challenging the player early, and forcing a choice they didn't want to make.
These seem like individual things for each player to work on, and that kind of coaching takes a lot of time to have an effect. Still, we've seen the improvements in Rose, Townsend and Chadli this year. We should be patient and give our defence time to develop as well.
By choice or necessity? And across all competitions, or just in the league? All the people who keep disagreeing with this rather basic concept - please bring forward evidence of at least one successful side in modern football (last 10-15 years) that kept rotating their 2 CBs in the League
In your own time now . . .

No, sorry - I was going on Levy's reluctance to back him in the market, and (unconfirmed) rumours of players questioning his methods. I overstated the point.
Madrid as well. (who also shuffled goal keepers between competitions these last few years.
You would have put Dier in a CB at the beginning of the season?? Only reason he's on the pitch is injuries. Not ready for starting CB.Before Kaboul was made captan (esentially rendering him an automatic starter if fit/available) - I would have gone with Dier / Verts
Now - I would go with Dier / Kaboul with Verts and Walker out wide. Rose and Naughton as far away as possible.
Switch to Fazio / Verts in EL / cup games

Levy is reluctant to back all our managers and said "rumours" were present under AVB as well and proved to be bollocks.
Our best defender now is Kyle Walker.
If someone told me that two seasons ago I'd have drawn the curtains, poured a stiff one and got the old service revolver out.
How do you know? It doesn't matter whether he is or he isn't, but again, how do you know? You're coming over as an annoying know it all hypocrite, who ignores facts to suit your own statements, such as:
Proved to be bollocks? What about the Ade thing, Vertonghen acting like a spoilt child, the want away tweets? Give it a rest mate.
I have no agenda, I don't want to fall out with you, but you accused me of the very same thing, and I apologised for not putting an 'IMO' into my post - that's why I accused you of hypocrisy. Can we just accept that we've both made a small error, and drop it. We're all here to talk about Spurs. (nobody could be the next gibbs)."the ade thing" - oh and that other time and then you have time before and then after...don't talk to me about facts...
the only want a way tweets I remember this year came from Schneiderlin.
Are you trying to tell me I need to put IMO after every fecking sentence just to please you and your black an white opinion of the world. Christ. Everyone's post on here is an opinion. Plain and simple. It's called a disagreement..it's usually a major part of many discussions and especially in football.
Give over, I'm not the next Gibbs so you can stop with whatever non-football related agenda you're trying to push on this forum.

Nobody at the club trusts Poch - that much is clear. The guy's got no chance, especially with the melts that are everywhere. Poor sod.
