Manager Mauricio Pochettino

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

i thought it was a really odd starting line up.
Most disappointing (apart from faz ahead of Jan) was that Kane finally got a start but only as a lone striker. He tried his best but that is not his position. especially when up against to big ugly centre halves. If we're going to stick with this 4231 then he needs to play anywhere along that 3 for me. Joining up with the striker as and when he can.

I really want to see him playing up there with soldado to be honest. Whenever those two are on the pitch together they seem to be able to find each other with passes in the box quite often as they are both quite clever players.
Need a button for Agree X 1,000,000...

BAE is 10x a better leftback than Rose but he decided otherwise.

Holtby and Siggy could be the reserve number 10 but he decided Paulinho is.

I'm not too sure if I want to give him a free reign in deciding the transfers.

Didn't impress me at all today with his tactics ( or whatever they were)

I get the feeling that he's as fed up as the rest of us be that players or fans

I find it hard to fathom how people seem to think that Pochettino doesn't have the players to play a high pressing game.........

They do all have two legs and 2 lungs right?

If Poch gets canned by Levy I think it would be extremely unfair (and further confirm out status as the PL laughing stock). He has playing staff that are seriously letting him (and also the previous two managers) down.

But here's the possible elephant in the room, what if that he's actually not that good in addition to the squad being a bunch of cunts? Let's face it he was an unknown quantity and hired purely because he was flavour of the month and the next big thing. He hasn't done a great deal in his management career. So many fans saw that and knew it was a risk and he certainly wasn't my first choice. I hoped he'd do the business but that's not coming to pass. The fact is that so far his results are coming up worse than AVB and Sherweasel and we need to ask how long that will continue.

I want him to be properly backed in January, but really he should've been this past summer and it's alwas harder to get good signings mid-season, especially with tight arse Levy. If January comes and goes and results don't improve than he'll have to go. It won't be fair. In a perfect world he'd get more time. But we can't very well be flirting with relegation and you can't sack the whole playing staff. We need to find someone who the players respond to. Who the fuck that is I don't know. But unless Poch is given the money and players he wants then I think the writing will be on the wall if we're still putting out dire performances in a few months' time. I don't see what other options there would be.

I always thought Poch was the 'easy' choice on a Levy cheap-scale. To me he was young, unproven, totally underwhelming. Now nobody has been allowed to say that or they're accused of being disloyal and too negative but facts are facts. We're going to have to stick with him now but that could just be an even longer run and dismantling the squad yet again to discover he's yet another wrong choice by...guess who? I hope not!!

We'll see. Early days but still about 19 games already and mostly shite with no best first XI in sight.

I hope not as well, but what I'm saying is that it might be inevitable and I think we might have to brace ourselves for possibly a season or two of yet more upheaval and general malaise.

Welcome back smoked.

I just don't find myself really disliking Porch right now. It is probably foolish and naive of me, and I regularly question his starting 11's and sub's at times even. Whenever I see him on the sidelines, I almost feel more bad for him than anything.

Fine, the players might not be comfortable with the system, but his system isn't causing us to PASS the fucking ball back to Stoke 30 times in a single game. It doesn't ask for Lamela to stand in the box dribbling the ball around when he could cross it in the dying minutes of the game only to lose possession. And it sure doesn't ask our defenders to play dead as a defensive tactic.

I'm not in love with Porch and I question some of his choices, but this team, with a couple of exceptions, just looks completely lost and out of their depth.

This is probably what I looked like watching the game as well.

Poch needs to get back to simple tactics and quickly.

The players seem confused and not to know their role.

I still haven't got a clue what Eriksen is anymore.
Capoue isn't a defensive midfielder.
Lamela doesn't cross and doesn't score he just sort of...dances.
Chadli does very little all game then scores wonder goals for the fun of it (While trying not to spit).
Mason was great then has quickly fallen into the trap of "Pass it sideways, it's cool", which got Naughton his red.

He needs to decide whether we press or don't press. Width or not? Is Eriksen a 10 or not? Is Lamela a winger? At the moment there's no plan, whether complicated or simple and the players haven't got a clue what they're doing.

On a side note, what a prick Adebayor was today. Playing childish games, taking his time to change boots, knowing Poch needs a goal. There's clearly tension between the two already. Hate to say it, but I think he's lost the squad.

I would love one of Pochettino's fans to tell me exactly how he has improved the first team and where I can see that being reflected on the pitch? As far as I can see we have gone backwards on all fronts.

I'm pretty sure if I delve into one of the AVB threads I can find the same feeble excuses that people made for him that are currently being trotted out for Pochettino and the crap he is serving up.

Patience is something to be earned, I've seen nothing to justify this sheep like desire for giving him lots of time.

The bottom line is the players aren't playing for him, just think about that.
Patience is something to be earned?...what?

i just dont understand , how this season is turning out to be , i mean westham ,stoke, southampton lol and few more this 4-5 teams are winning matches so comfortably , while us ,woolwich , liverpool , manutd all are just scrapping points , either a loss or a scrapy win , no domination at all.
