New man, push us forward? I've heard that tune so many times now I'm numb to it. Bring on the next guy, then...

FFS - talk of a 'new man taking us forward'?

When are some of you ignorant cunts going to learn!!!!!!!!!! Anyone calling for Poch out can go fucking support another club as far as I'm concerned. Poch needs backing for at least another season, and especially with this summer's transfer budget.

End of story.

What have you seen so far that shows Poch deserves to stay on?

I don't want to sack him but that's mainly because of the embarrassment factor of whoring our club around Europe again, looking for the first Mondeo window to be lowered in our direction. Nothing to do with Poch though.

So, what have you witnessed that makes you so swearily sure that he's the right man?

I like people with fat faces and full heads of hair . They age better.
I am sure he can Tango well which Mrs Levy really enjoys , especially a spin
round the mansion . Mr Levy is sadly to short to Tango and is a slaphead
but does have a lot of dosh under the bed.

I think we can make a few groups:

Fans with total faith Poch just needs the right players, and we´ll get them
Fans not convinced at all but want to keep him for the sake of their own sanity (me)
Fans who have given up

Personally, I think the first group are seriously delusional

So he's not the right man but keep him anyway...pick those fence splinters out off your arse...

We need to give Pochettino TIME ... That means at least two years from when he was appointed.

Why is it always such a rush for instant success?

Yes, we were awful yesterday and not for the first time this season. Poch has to take responability. But, no matter how shit we were yesterday, you can't say you haven't seen glimpses this season of what we COULD be under Poch.

I just don't personally agree with those saying they haven't seen anything in Poch to give them confidence.

Not far off at all. We've seen some great, some average but more often than not, poor. Time and another transfer window could be a healer but it is no guarantee.

I do think he should be given next season at least but he does need to up his game and get the players going, whoever stays and whoever is signed. Its more about motivation and playing with urgency, we're too fucking pedestrian half the time. Look at Leicester and how they start matches compared to us. I do believe we have some quality there or we wouldn't have come close to beating Woolwich or Chelsea this season.

Ok, we sack Poch because of the disappointing past couple of months (having not spent anything in January to strengthen or even consolidate)
Which world class manager would people have?
I'd be surprised if anyone worth their salt would come to Spurs knowing they would be the 13th manager in 10 years. It cries out that the chairman is an impatient cunt who won't back his manager in the transfer market, preferring instead to hire a bloke to operate on a shoestring in the transfer market. If you have your heart set on a Ferrari, you don't want to walk out of the showroom with a corsa. It's been mainly horrible this year since the cup defeat to Leicester but I don't see how sacking another manager will achieve anything than make us look like an even bigger premier league side show. I cast my mind back to Fergie. He was within a whisker of losing his job & things didn't turn out too badly for him. If Poch ends up being half the manager (& half the cunt) he was, then we won't do too badly moving forward. The club needs some continuity & as horrible as some results have been this season, discontentment amongst the fans will only make Levys trigger finger even more itchy. If Poch goes, it's Groundhog Day. The most successful clubs historically haven't chopped & changed managers regularly. If they have (Chavs & Citeh spring to mind) then the club has invested heavily in players those managers have asked for & been prepared to cut their losses. We don't appear to have that luxury.

Sorry, can you quote me again and put in bold the bit where I say he isn't the right man? I've no idea if he is, nor do you and neither does anyone else on here. That's my point. All this "YOU FUCKING MELTS NEED TO GIVE HIM TIME!!! HE'S THE RIGHT MAN!!!" posters don't have a fucking clue. If they claim to, give me their reasons, that's all I ask. Fuck, if I'm that confident about something I'll back it up like a bastard.

There'd be no shortage of managers wanting to come to us. However, will decent players want to come in the summer?

The fact that you want to know reasons why is he the right man sort of tells me that you mustn't have any yourself...

I respect those of that first group that just want to stay positive because it's their general mindset but, those that think they've really seen enough pre-Spurs and during to be convinced that Poch is undoubtedly a good coach and manager are delusional as you say, both about Poch and our transfer dealings.

I'm in group two but would bump it up to seriously unconvinced.

I cannot believe you're already wanting Pochettino to be sacked. At the end of the last season, we wanted some stability, better football and stop getting hammered by the top four teams. We all agreed that we wouldn't be able to compete for top four and 5th or 6th would be a realistic finish.
After all, we played a League Cup final, we have a 20 goals striker and we played some good football at times. Of course, some players are going through bad form, yet we will probably not know what's been discussed between Levy and Pochettino. Maybe both of them want us out of Europa League next season. That could explain why we keep getting beaten.
