Don’t know how much truth in it, but friend of a friend is a Hammer and he’s been told multiple fractures to both legs and he was on a ventilator part of yesterday, before regaining consciousness.

Given his age and the injuries (if accurate) must be very doubtful he’d play again.

If he has his life and the respective fractures can heal to the point of living a normal life, and when you consider the pictures, then he is lucky.

Being a sportsman probably helped him abd if there is one saving grace, then he is at the back end of a career and not at its commencement.

Given all that if there is one game he would be fit for it would be ours!! A light jest amidst the more sober mood.

With the weather conditions yesterday he may not have even been driving recklessly to end up like that. It was windy, wet and in an area that known for being a bit slippery due to the leaves falling on the roads.

My pal in Epping (he’s local, so this must be true), telling me that Antonio wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and was thrown into the back seat upon impact. Apparently, this saved him from worse.

Someone give me a heads up when enough time's passed that it's acceptable to crack a joke about the Docs struggling to confirm brain activity please??
