Not many U23 centre-backs that are physically strong and mature, technically good and good with the ball at the feet like Van de Ven. Might very well be an absolute beast of a defender by the time he's 25, massive potential.
Also seems like a likeable and down to earth lad, but certainly not a player who gets intimidated easily or would ever shy away from a duel.

It is often forgotten that AVB was giving Kane regular cameos at the beginning of 2013/14.
Also when Sherwood came in he turned to the exiled Adebayor, not Kane.
Kane minutes only increased beyond cameos when it was clear that the season was over.
The player Sherwood should take credit for is Nabil Bentaleb, but then that wouldn’t look so great, would it?

Who pays this dinosaur to give opinions on football?
