Wouldn't it be amazing if it turned out Ange had been showing them a fake table with the team in the top 6 just to keep them motivated, and none of them thought to verify it.
(although he could just pin it upside down and achieve that for most of the season)

Maybe Micky understands context. Maybe some players may know more than anonymous posters.
I think he is smart enough to understand that no manager at Spurs should survive finishing 17th / losing 58% of the league matches in one season, it would have been beyond reckless to give Ange another season.

Yeah. There is an idea that all of our cup winning players and manager and ex players are idiots. Toxic fan base.
I think he'd believe the when the first choice back 5 started under Postecoglou they were a top 3 league side and a EL winning side.
Now... we all know that injuries are part of football and exacerbated by process etc etc etc But from Mickeys perspective all of that is bad luck and he played for a manager who made him believe he'd win something and he did.
So... it's not hard to understand why the players feel something that a lot of fans and the board didn't. Why can't you take that at face value?
I remember Mourinho saying something along the lines of "I like when players love the previous manager. Because if they can love him, then why not me also".. Something like that..
I think the same with these players. Most of them don't seem like utter dickheads.. I think they're mostly good guys who will get on with their work in the pre season.. I'm sure they're sad that someone they like working with is gone.. But if they can develop a connection with Ange.. Then why not Frank.

As fast as that is, though, if Mickey and Usain Bolt were racing, Bolt would be moving away at walking pace (23mph vs 27mph).
Bolt is shit at footy, though.
Bolt and other top class 100 metre runners would be so far ahead of Van Der Ven and Walker, when he was his fastest, and the likes of Bale and Henry.
Nobody should ever see very fast footballers as anything but exactly that.
There is no comparison with top tier sprinters.
