Anyone know if there's a recall option in Mikey's contract?

If not I hope Rangers lose as many games in a row that it takes for them to ditch Martin.

Mikey needs to go somewhere else in Jan, or needs a new manager there.

I’d be shocked if he survived today, assuming the result stays the same. It’s surprising he even made it to this point

It was a strange club we chose to send him to, not only are they an awful side but they are managed by a total moron. Hopefully when they sack this manager he can get a fresh start because he needs to be playing in a functional team.

It’s hard enough to adapt to the physicality of the SPL for someone as weak as him, but when the team around you is shambolic there’s no proper platform for him.

Maybe we knew this would be tough in many ways and it’s a deliberate decision part of his development. Agree with many though that I’d rather see him at a different club. Maybe a London Championship club.

Disaster of a loan so far.

Rangers are a shambles under Russell Martin, but Mikey doesn't look up to the level required. Would expect much more from him. Unfortunately, he won't get that opportunity at a club like Rangers. The fans expect to win every game.

They won't care about giving him time to develop, theyve got their own players they can develop and sell for profit.

He hasn't had a notably good performance yet and somehow people think he'll go to the Championship and tear it up playing every game.

This is not all about the loan, it's about a young player who has been hyped to fuck and hasn't shown it's deserved yet for all his talent.

Absolutely with you on high expectations for Mikey that have yet to be met in any sustained way.

But he's been on loan for five minutes and found himself in a farcical context and might very well have a new manager tomorrow morning.

Whether it's Martin or someone else, bringing quality performances out of Mikey is going to be essential for Rangers, he's a major asset for them.

He must be on his last legs.

Where did his managerial reputation actually come from?

He had MK Dons playing an ultra-modern possession style that got him the Swansea job. Not really sure what attracted Southampton (maybe still the MK Dons rep), but he did get them promoted.

But Colin Wanker has done an amazing job with promoting teams and has never been hyped. Sometimes it is a bit odd

He went up there to a physical league to develop those things tbf, wasn't expecting him to instantly adjust. His game relies a lot on balance while he's dribbling so it'll take a bit of time to get used to playing the same way while constantly being pushed off-balance by fully-grown men
