Player Mikey Moore

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Worth remembering Moore was 17 when playing for us last season, few players of that age are going to look good as they have neither experience nor the physique to handle it.

Moore at angers this season still only 18 but looking a far far better player, whilst at same time there are things he can improve on, but he's already looking far more equipped for the physical side of the game.

He could benefit from another loan next season, but equally given Spurs lack of forwards (especially if both Kolo Muani and Richarlison leave) and the lack of quality forwards available even in the £50m to £100m bracket, so I can't see Spurs getting more than 2 forwards in, I could see Moore staying next season and doing well with good coaching.
With Simons and Odobert out with ACLs, we should keep him with us until at least Jan and then reassess.

Really hope Mikey is the real deal , but he has a lot to prove and a long way to go to achieve what some on here expect . Sadly that gooner kid currently has achieved more at a younger age , which hopefully proves to be a false dawn .

Personally I have high hopes for Vuskovic and Melia , although the Melia belief has more questions than Mikey . So here is hoping all 3 come together to give us some generational talent at the same moment in time. We are so far off the pace of being competitive that ENIC will never pay what is needed to expedite a return to the upper echelons of the PL .

Ahh fuck it after typing that last paragraph I’m all in on Mikey , I gotta have hope . So come on you 3 beautiful youngsters tear it up within 2 years . We need you so very very badly
Don't think those types of comparisons are too useful anyway. Dowman's a massive outlier and it's a total freak that a kid that young is getting minutes for a PL club competing at the top.

For his age Mikey's doing great and developing nicely. He's got a great attitude and good head on his shoulders too, which is so important. I dunno if he'll be a world beater cos he's not a physical outlier, but I think with his technique, vision and mentality, which are all outstanding, he's gonna make it at the top and be a solid PL player at the very least. And if he keeps improving at his current rate, who knows what his ceiling is?

Well I hope what you say proves to be correct

I've been watching Mikey Moore for a while , he doesn't have that many touches , but when he is on the ball it's more often than not quality input . He contributes with runs into the box and isn't afraid of putting his laces through the ball . He's not PL quality just yet , but he's very good for his age , and is impressive at Rangers .

Why would he train for us when the season finishes on Sunday and he can’t be registered to play in the PL?
Because it gives him and RDZ a week or so to get to know each other, get an idea of what each other wants and start to plan for the next season.
It will also help a young player feel a part of the team and it's not going to be strenuous for him.

The season hasn't finished yet and I don't see why any of our loanees wouldn't want to spend another week or two putting their faces and abilities on show.

I guess it depends on our pre season and plans with transfers. If we go after a top winger like we need to, then he might not get much game time at all given Tel would be ahead of him, the new winger and Kudus will be back. We also need to see how Kulu is looking, if he looks back to a strong level then a lot of competition for places.

We need to think about whats best for his development and usually thats to play. Lots of balancing this summer with the injuries etc.

What's happening with this lad? Had a very impressive season and I think it would be good if he stayed at Rangers another year but do people see him having a future with us?
I think he's got an almost certain future with us but whether that's this season or the next entirely depends on what we do in the window, imo.
The most important thing is that he plays regularly, so if he's not going to get that here then he must get a good loan.

We should keep him around, especially until January and see how he goes. I just think a lot of fans are addicted to new signings so want to keep loaning so we can keep buying, same for Vuskovic. If they werent our players people would be beside themselves about signing an 18 yr old English lad from Scotland who did superbly and won young player of the year. The left winger market is shit as well.

I think it's less to do with the desire to see new signings, and simply about evidence that a player is good enough to make an impact.

I said previously that I looked at Moore and didn't necessarily see a better player than Hackney at Middlesbrough, and one other Championship player, whose names temporarily escapes me.

I am sure of Moore shows enough in training then he will stay. If not......

I think it is down to his confidence. If he is mentally tough enough to stay up I'd let him take a go at the Premier League. But, if he wasn't, there's no harm in loaning him out again. It is a bit frustrating because we all want to see his skills displayed. It's worth remember De Zerbi got a fair bit of production out of Evan Ferguson at an early age.
