Given all the political batshittery going on in Korea recently, I wouldn't be shocked if this wasn't the result of his agent phoning the club and asking that they bring him over sooner. With mandatory national service and a President that declared martial law, which basically begat a coup by the legislature, and Kim's bff Trump about to retake power in the US, who the fuck would want to be in Korea if they had a contract in hand in Europe?

Good for him getting the fuck out. Whether he becomes anything or not is probably a while off yet. Hope he does come good, not like we're swamped with quality players.

Expect he'll spend a year or 2 with the U21s.

God I hope not- really hope to see him getting regular football somewhere by the start of next season. I just do not believe players can develop properly without it.
Normally I would agree. I just don't know about throwing a Korean teenager to the wolves with a loan club that doesn't have anything invested in his future. Think he at least needs some bedding in time to get over the culture shock.

I'm hoping culture shock can be overcome by July. Agree a loan this second half of the season is unlikely and would likely be unwise. A loan next season to a Champo or L1 side located in London while training with Son at Hotspur Way would be ideal.
