And? The narrative so far in the media hasn't painted the picture of it being as straight forward as everything being done but Forest not giving the final signature.

If we have met the release clause, they have no leg to stand on in terms of this transfer going through, that it hasn't as yet, and that Forest are the ones lodging a complaint, suggests that there is more to the story than just that.

You'd think there would be some kind of update today, but at the moment there's nothing concrete enough to really figure out what's going on.

Notts Forest complaining does not mean they will win.

Just means they are refusing to co-operate atm .... but most informed commentators sugg e suggesting they have no leg to stand on so it will go through

But their attitude means it will not happen immediately

Will need to wait until Forest told by FA and or PL to cooperate to transfer player to Spurs
 
You would think at this stage Forest must know MGW is gone, and they'd want to get the money in (in installments or not, I have no idea) so they can plan his replacements? What good is it going to do them if he eventually joins us late in the window.

It's nobody else's fault his release clause was so low.

What will happen is MGW will be at spurs within the week, his announcement will be him eating some Feta Cheese, saying Good things come to those who wait, I used to have a bit of a soft spot for Forest, thought they were on of the old proper clubs, but after seeing that Fat Cunt come on the pitch and give it to Nuno , then the way you try and fuck it up for Palace in the EL and all the other pettiness I hope you get relegated then your Fat cunt of a chairman can go back to selling drugs.

Nobody knows the fine print in the contract, that is why any technical discussions are pointless. But Forest wouldn't be taking it to the courts out of pettiness. This situation is so rare because things are normally done professionally & by the book. In my personal opinion of how this plays out is Spurs will end up withdrawing their bid as the outcome of an illegal is not worth the bother for you. Do you think your owner is rational and making these decisions after serious thought and advice?

Or do you not think he's just raging and throwing his toys out of the pram and ignoring all advice coming his way? His reputation speaks for itself. Multiple charges against him for match fixing and high level drug dealing. Yes, he was never convicted but your naive if you think there is no smoke without fire.
