Exactly what I said a couple of days ago. Someone aware of the clause value told Spurs. How can that be an illegal anything on Spurs part?

Nottingham Forest already hated us because of the 91 Cup Final. The fact is they have spent over half their history in the lower divisions. While bar a few years some when we were a cricket team we have been in the Top League never dropping below the Second Tier.

Nobody knows the fine print in the contract, that is why any technical discussions are pointless. But Forest wouldn't be taking it to the courts out of pettiness. This situation is so rare because things are normally done professionally & by the book. In my personal opinion of how this plays out is Spurs will end up withdrawing their bid as the outcome of an illegal is not worth the bother for you. Sorry to dampen on your parade, but Levy has fucked this up. Not Forest.
