I'm really puzzled about this.
If Forest haven't lodged a complaint to the PL yet, makes me thing they aren't confident, don't have any evidence.
How can Forest just keep a player if a release clause is triggered? It's bizarre. Essentially they are keeping him hostage?

So he's not going anywhere? Maybe not to Spurs, but it's not like every other club in the entire world doesn't now know his release clause is it?
There must be about 20 emails sitting in his inbox saying "I'll give you £60,000,001 for him".
Or we just trigger the release clause, like we have done, and sign the player because the clause is legally binding like any employment contract

What I would say though is I think it’s very naive to assume we have acted 100% correctly here either.
If it was a case that we had activated a release clause completely correctly and done nothing wrong, we would without question have briefed the media to that effect. The fact no club mouthpiece has come out with that would say to me that it’s not that straightforward.
