I'm just curious, would folks here advocate for us bidding above the release clause to try and make this deal happen?

Not my money so I don’t really care

Don’t see why we should though. He has a rc and Marinakis is the one who chose to make a cunt of himself. Sets a dangerous precedent if you let him bully you into paying more,

If it was me, I’d send him a new offer of 55m tomorrow and tell him it goes down to 50m by Sunday

A big part I'm sure what Sky trying to turn it into a soap opera twice a year.
Absolutely. Not to mention they run a gambling company in tandem with a news company that drives gambling.
Should be illegal, really.
It was no different way back when. Teletext page 225 for spurs, I think it was. "TeamTalk" premium rate numbers "Estonian international in talks with spurs" and it was almost always bullshit to make you pay £1/min

Used to be a highlight to getting home and checking the 'gossip'
Remember when we were gonna sign Kluivert and it was all over Teletext? I'm sure there was a wum there!

Depends how much.
I'd rather stick a 5% sell on clause, or something similar in there that we can use to fcuk them off in the future with.

Yes

And that is what I think and have always thought since initial complaints, will be what ends up happening.

Somewhere around the 70m in stage payments, and legal complaints disappear, would be my guess, and if we don't can't see it happening this window, but the legal complaints still could be executed.

Sky sold 80% of Sky Bet in 2015 and the remaining 20% in 2019, so they no longer have any financial interest in it.

Sorry Matt for years I believed Sky only own 20% of Sky Bet and are allowed no invlovement in running it. The other 80% is owned by the same company that owns Paddy Power and Bet Fair.

The one I remember was Miguel Angel Nadal. I was still in high school, so must have been late 90s. We were echelons below Barca so even teenage me knew that was hog swill.

The absolute peak for me was when you had to watch Futbol Mundial to know what was happening in the other leagues. My first proper PC game I bought was CM2 Italia, and having players like Ravenelli just randomly pop up in the PL. I don't know who will remember, but there was a football cereal that came out and had all the new PL signings on the ad, and I think Ravenelli said something like "I come to england because I am hungry" or some shit like that. Stickers free in corn flakes, and all that. Proper times when no cunt knew everything about everything and was banging out trapezoids to prove a player was decent.

You can tell that era is on its arse now as you'd pick up a red-top rag for 20p for all your football gossip, occasionally with a token for a Mars Ice Cream, and I looked recently and I'm sure that the rags are all near if not more than £2 now. Mental.
