Sky News headline….Brentford interested in signing Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich, Hutchinson having a £35million release clause.. How does Sky know that? Perhaps the same way that Spurs knows MGWs release clause. Doesn’t that idiot at Forest realise that release clauses are not huge secrets?

I've always considered the "ITK" in question to be an actual person, who gets his info from connections to a specific agency.

Most probably some part of CAA Stellar, having read his postings over the years.

He's been pretty all over the place since the MGW saga started, suggesting problems / challenges for the agents. But now he is being told MGW to us probably gets done. It's vaguely interesting, given my sense of his source.
CAA Stellar has around 2000 employees, and represents 900+ (over 300 first-division) players around the planet.

The idea of a “breached NDA” seriously derailing a triggered release-clause, seems unlikely.

Literally no player or agent (in their right mind) is going to side with Marinakis, etc. on this.

This is my issue. I think we should probably go Rios or Stiller. But they are not exactly proxies.
No idea, as don’t watch much, but MGW strikes me as a metronomic type of attacking 8.

He was one of the best at England Youth when they won the 2017 U17 World Cup. Look at the lineup :

England: 1 Curtis Anderson (Manchester City); 18 Steven Sessegnon (Fulham), 15 Joel Latibeaudiere (capt; Manchester City), 5 Marc Guehi (Chelsea), 6 Jonathan Panzo (Chelsea); 8 Tashan Oakley-Boothe (Tottenham Hotspur), 4 George McEachran (Chelsea); 7 Phil Foden (Manchester City), 19 Morgan Gibbs-White (Wolverhampton Wanderers), 14 Callum Hudson-Odoi (Chelsea); 9 Rhian Brewster (Liverpool).

Substitutes: 12 Nya Kirby (Crystal Palace) for Gibbs-White 81, 20 Conor Gallagher (Chelsea) for McEachran 87, 10 Angel Gomes (Manchester United) for Oakley-Boothe 90

Substitutes not used: 3 Lewis Gibson (Everton), 13 Josef Bursik (Stoke City), 16 Danny Loader (Reading), 21 Billy Crellin (Fleetwood Town), 17 Emile Smith Rowe (Woolwich), 2 Timothy Eyoma (Tottenham Hotspur).

That’s the team that beat Spain 5-2 in the final. 4 players we had from that list all failed to fulfil potential, let’s hope Gibbs-White bucks the trend. What a youth team that was!

Rob is ok but that A&C is a complete prick. Thinks he's the funniest guy about and is a total patronising prat.

Actually feel sorry for him that he needs to validate himself with on line bullying type of behaviour on a football forum.

Was on there 11 years and he basically banned me for disagreeing with him and calling him out on something in which he was wrong.

I'd say there's quite a few on here he's done that to (Bus conductor etc)
A&C is insufferable.

Seriously one of the grossest “personalities” running any kind of internet forum I’ve ever witnessed.

Odd.
it's really the perfect summer story and has everything; jubilation and sudden reversal of fortune, legal and financial angles we can act like we're experts on, bond villain owners, fake itk's, long waits for new plot twists, mildly offensive jokes and memes. i for one am grateful for this amazing content

The genuine ITK, and it does exist, gets information for a limited period of time, and then their source moves on and the ITK stops, so they stop posting.

Herculean and Trix are the most blatant frauds you could hope to find, claiming to have insider info giving them an omniscient knowledge of what's going on at Spurs, over an extended period of time encompassing multiple management and backroom regimes. At this point, they'd have to literally be Ben Davies and Daniel Levy themselves for their claims to be believable.

They know they are pandering to a crowd too gullible to question this, and have the added protection of an insecure online forum dictator protecting them from inquisition. They don't even try to make their claims make sense, and often use the cop out that they have info they can't disclose but have shared behind the scenes, conveniently with the people running the grift, but will elaborate once it's out in the media.

The audacity of it...

so if the bfg (big fat greek) is back to the tapping up angle after flirting with the secret clause angle and likely being told it's not going to fly, should we now expect them to offer some hard proof of the illegal contact?

To be fair I do believe Trix has a source who is an agent, which is why it can continue across managers etc.

But the thing is, I have a family member (an in-law) who is an agent, and very relevant to Spurs, I wouldn’t dream of asking him about individual cases and I doubt very much he would tell me if I did.

The release clause expired yesterday and they didn’t trigger it because they weren’t aware of it. Only after it expired it became knowledge and they may bid at the level of the now expired clause.

If it was not triggered by yesterday, why has it now become known? Why would it now be made public, what would be the point in making it known now…..no point at all so it must have been known about before so my point is still valid imho.

It’s become public now because it has expired, so is no longer a thing so can be, and apparently Brentford did hit the number required in the end but not the payment terms not met.
I disagree your point is not valid as clearly was not known until it expired

Their bid of £35m was rejected earlier in the week because although it pulled the trigger amount they did not satisfy the repayment terms which merely confirms the fact every release clause is different and almost impossible to for outsiders to clarify without insider information or public disclosure.

Yeah exactly. That's how it works and that's why payment terms are not the issue with MGW. Whatever we offered triggered it. Forest are just refusing to let him go and I'm not sure why or how this is allowed. Looking forward to getting the full story once it's all done.
