Hmm, this is a detail we hadn't heard

"Nottingham Forest are not happy at all with their approach for the player. They mentioned that was not something they expected from Tottenham. Also, how they directly approached the player to inform him about the medical and all the formal steps without having any formal exchange with Nottingham Forest has led to a situation that is quite tense between the two clubs. The medical was booked on Friday last week.

He has a release clause.
To anyone who isn't Marinakis and a PTSD riddled Spurs fan, a release clause means it's a formality.

This will get done and then you and the others can start to heal your wounds.

Clearly we had MGW higher on the list than Simon's so why would we give up so easily?

We had MGW higher up because he's attainable, lol. No other club wants him, Forest are practically begging another team to be interested.

Simons is wanted by a handful of European clubs ... we aren't after him because we can't get him, or at least won't do what it takes to get him which would be blow other team out of the water in terms of wage package and other promises. To come to Spurs a player like Simons would want a lot, otherwise why would he choose us over currently better teams?

Overrated player. One thing I like about his game is he's good at facing up field on his first touch, but he's hardly been through a positive development since leaving PSG. No one is really in for him despite him openly wanting out. Bayern may go for him now but that's only because of Musiala's injury and them failing to get Woltemade

He's had two very good Bundesliga seasons since leaving PSG + was a star for his country at a European Championships.

And there are teams in for him, plenty of chatter.
