What other motivation do they need?

Match-fixing happens in Italy, Germany etc. as well, it's just more prevalent in Balkan.

Look at this scandal, and look at the suspect. Guess who's the first one, and what clubs does he own other than Olympiakos?

I'm sure match fixing happens in a lot of places, I'm sure players play for free kicks and corners as well (because you can bet on them) but to say an owner is instructing his own team to lose is just stupid especially since the result could affect their status in the Prem.

So why would the owner risk a game like that in the short term to risk his clubs status in the PL in the long term? Surely as an owner he'd want his team to stay up, if they go down it would cost him millions.

And like I said the players aren't going to down tools purely because there's no motivation for them.

This argument is dumb.

Humans think way more about the short-term than the long one, and considering how Forest have been playing, they look to be well-prepared to survive.

I've given you evidence that it happens, and that the Forest owner has been accused of such actions beforehand.

If you don't want to believe it, it's fine, it might not be the case at all, I'm just saying that it also might be the case.

I want to end this discussion now, simply because this is the MOTD thread, and I'm going extremely off-topic.

Forest look well prepared to survive, you sure about that?

You can link it to past events all you like but you should really do some critical thinking, for the players to down tools and concede goals on purpose requires the whole entire management, players, backroom staff to be in on the secret, it's just not realistic.

That kind of thing doesn't happen in the PL on that scale especially when the stakes are so high.

Was surprised by the pundits verdict on the Arse game. Their opinion was MU deserved to win but Neville during the game was saying Utd were lucky.

Ultimately, if you score 3 goals against a team, you probably deserve to win.

But Woolwich were the better team for large parts of that game. The result is actually a good one in that Woolwich lost their first real challenge and Man Utd, despite winning, have shown they can take points off our rivals but still have glaring weaknesses that other teams can threaten. It wouldn't surprise me if Palace went and beat them at the weekend for example.

Match of the Day highlights tonight include Marco Silva dressed up like a cruise liner / club singer / Gigolo. What a guy, no one else makes a moss bross slim fit look so cool, especially when paired black on black with the open neck shirt from M&S 👍

And Serge Aurier cropped up in shot wearing the strangest shining Green hooded track top. I like Serge.

F F F F Fashion…

Dion should stick to homes under the Hammer. Calling Tosin Tossing is a bit harsh.

They’ve got no europe and a lot of psychological swagger because of the owners.

Unfortunately think they are here to stay
Great points,

Get fed up of hearing them go 'we haven't spent that much and it's the same players as the previous seasons', so forgetting about January, spending £65m on a striker to show what you can do and places up for grabs with players playing for their futures but apparently the money isn't having an impact.

Yep, no one.

Gonna get even worse too. They will definitely spend loads of money in January, especially if they are in the top four.

Absolute crooks, I bet all their fans are slagging of the corrupt and immoral World Cup yet they'll be praising their owners and club saying they've got their Club back. What a joke.
