I assumed it was a change for five minutes, and then N’Dombele or Dele on to add some guile - taking Winks off.
But no.
It wasn’t.
How is he still getting minutes at a Premier League club I’ll never understand. He’s perhaps that manifestation of the universe that says “if x can do y so can you”.
A lot of these guys just commentate by numbers. They don't actually watch the teams outside of their commentary duties. So it's cliche and assumptions when they actually do comment.

When he could run, he at least provided some defensive cover in midfield and could occasionally break forward with the ball. Now he either can't run, or can't be arsed to run. The end result is a player who does absolutely fuck all for us. He should not play another minute again for this club, complete bollocks subbing him on today as well.
He’s a lovable big goof but we will never be a success with him as an option, and whilst he’s an option we will always be tempted to play him, it’s a viscous circle....
