Ex-Spurs Player Moussa Sissoko

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Wasn't it £6M a year for five year's.

Than I chose to see it as a fee of just that £6M with an option to buy another year for another £6M next year.

I'm pretty sure he won't stay for more than 2-3 year's the correct fee will be 12-18M.

And if he's a lazy sod he'll probably leave this summer or in January.

I chose to hope he's the player we saw in the euros this summer.
Or you could just hope he turns out to be a great signing and sees out his contract?

People are getting too hung up on his price...he's within £5M of the likes of Bolasie, Wijnaldum, Benteke, Mane, Xhaka, David Luis,Kante, Mustafi, Batshuayi and Slimani, not exactly world beaters, it's just the going rate in a world where a player under £20M is deemed a bargain...

As long as he performs and does not have any attitude problems

My only concern is people mentioning his form in the euros. I can't even recall his performances. But then it was probably the worst football tournament i have seen since the 94 world cup

I'm not sure either, but they couldn't have been worse than Xhaka's who I do remember as being distinctly average...

Just accept it and embrace it your a Devon now.

But I'm not!

That was my name on Footymad when I lived in Devon.

This isn't Footymad and I don't live there anymore

So what's the point?

I suppose I should have put plenty of thought into it and come up with something really profound or witty

Like Superstaryid

Reading that thinking "they've not quoted anything I wrote, I mustn't be very good at these divisive comments". Then, as the last comment they posted, they got to the bit where I tore into that newcastle fan...
:dierno:

"Fact is, the Newcastle fans are all acting like an ugly c*** who just got cheated on. Going around spreading insults because you are in denial about the situation. You got relegated because you are a crap team"

I see one of them has commented, quoting this, and said "Hes the one in denial. his club has just bought one of the players from that 'crap' team."

I don't think they realise the difference between a player and a team. That's why they have no identity, imo. The fan's don't really know what the club is about, so it's been lost. You can't tip up in mass thousands each week and expect it to mean something, unless you have a bit of a team identity - we have a style of play, a history of a certain type of player (Hoddle, Gazza, Ginola, Bale etc.).

We've lost key players and kept that identity, whereas Newcastle have a personality crisis every season - can anyone even name of the characteristics of playing them?

Novelty statement from the comments: "I reckon Yedlin will be worth more in 2 years time than Sissoko will be."

:chadliwtf:

Newcastle should do something similar to the basque teams imo - they all love local lads playing for them more than anything else and it would give them identity......and it's not like they could really do a lot worse on the pitch anyway, they've not won a trophy since 1955.

I think we are wasting too much energy talking about whether Sissoko is a good or bad signing and not enough time discussing what Nkoudou brings to the team..

Whether we agree or disagree let's give Sissoko a chance to show us what he can offer and the same for our other signings in this window..

according to your owner you pulled the plug because of loyalty to james mccarthy - apparently keeping him was always the priority.

way to retain your dignity Mr Moshiri
Rarely does a deal get so many parties happy. Spurs fans happy with having a new player, Everton fans happy with bullet dodged, Newcastle fans happy staring at the cash...

We will never really know the facts of who made the call to get Sissoko. I'm sure this will fan the flames anyway.

'According the sun, ' that's all you really need to know.
You could say, who did Paul Mitchell have lined up to get in the last hours of the window then?
They could also say Mitchell didn't do that great a job getting players in this window did he.
One player for the squad and a kid for the academy.

Some say £30m is too much to pay for an option
Then some complain we haven't got a team of £25- £30+m well paid players on the bench.

Is Sissoko better than Mason?
Is he 1x better than Mason?
If you think he is then he's a £26m player.
Is Sissoko better than Townsend?
Sissoko also has 45 full international caps

A player who cost £5m last season and had one decent season in a 'team' was sold for £30m. A player who has 9 international caps and only got his first last season.
A player who left a club a few years back for nothing as nobody bothered to question Ferguson's judgement that he wasn't worth paying that much has just been bought for £100m and is probably getting 3 times as much as they'd be paying him now if they kept him.

Football has gone fucking mad.
I don't think many players are worth £30m, it's mad.
Yet it's the PL and it's an inflated market because it's awash with money.
Agents and clubs can squeeze a lot as they know it.

Or £22m Marcus Alonso, who Chelsea just signed.

Not capped by Spain, not even U21s.

2008–2010 Real Madrid B 39 (3)
2010 Real Madrid 1 (0)
2010–2013 Bolton Wanderers 35 (5)
2013–2016 Fiorentina 58 (4)
2014Sunderland (loan) 16 (0)
2016– Chelsea

£22m. For an older Yedlin, basically, minus the caps
