Ex-Spurs Player Moussa Sissoko

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Defensively our right flank looked more solid than I can ever remember. Lamela tracks back excellently and gets stuck in, Lennon also had a good workrate. Sissoko though is so athletic and powerful that combined with Walker I got the impression Boro didn't even want to bother trying to attack that flank.
Deffo an option to consider against the likes of City away etc.

I know it's a split in the fans where he should be playing, but in all honesty he doesn't do enough in the wide positions to warrant a start there ahead of the likes of Eriksen, Son, Lamela, Alli. Try him next to a Dier or Wanyama or even Dembele at CM and see how he goes - in my opinion he would bring much more to the team from there. His passing and shooting really doesn't seem suited to a position that far forward, and he could use his strength and dribbling much more effectively when driving from deep.
Poch is clearly rotating the squad, got it absolutely spot on to.

Think we can expect Sissoko to have on/off performances just as every single player we have signed under Poch who has never played under him before. The only exception has been Toby. (Wanyamma too but he knows what Poch wants as he has played for him before).

I really like the look of him. So powerful and quick. Fantastic outlet with his strong running.
We're using him the right way like France did. Newcastle depended on him to get goals and assists- doesn't seem his game.
Surround him with players who can create/defend and make use of his excellent engine.
Walker and Sissoko flank is just frightening defensively, no point even trying to attack it.

I thought he was really. Another strong force in the midfield, very fast, good vision, but he's gotta stop wasting balls after being brilliant sending them forward.

Looks like he ain't fit enough to me. At the end of the first half when Lamela played him through he fell to his knees and was fucked.
He has yet to reach the fitness levels required but the good thing is he managed when we need him to.
Once he gets used to the way the rest play, he'll be fine.
Already working well with walker.

Solid so far, but not showing what I was hoping he would when he is in one of those moods I kept hearing about.

Agree with Schmood that on current showings, he isn't a starter for me when all are fit.

Not sure why people are surprised that he is what he is.

2 goals in a season. People expecting an attacking threat are very far off the mark.

Works well in a midfield 3 doing the donkey work though.

Far far superior player on current form than Bentaleb was 80% of the time, who also barely ever scored. I wouldn't be afraid to attribute a lot of credit for our defensive form to players like Sissoko and Wanyama - can't underestimate what Sissoko offers to power the ball forward.

He's a strange one.

Defensively sound in a 1 v 1, yet lacks the concentration and positioning to be a DM.

Has the pace and power to leave many players for dead, yet lacks the killer ball or shot to make it all worth while.

Has the technical ability to nut meg people and pass out of trouble, yet struggles with passes and decision making in the final third.

He's at least a solid 6-7/10 at everything, yet not skilled enough in any area to be put in a specific role. In a match where we will be on the back foot, I can understand £30 mil personally. Those big games often pay for themselves, especially when you're in the champions league. He could possibly be the difference in a quarter final or last 16 game. Put him on the wing or in a midfield 3 and suddenly we become even harder to break down.

I'll never love him, he's just not my type of player, but I can appreciate what he brings. Isn't hard for me to rate him above Bentaleb either, who I thought was an impersonator at best and a fraud at worst (At least in CM).

What you described does sound like pre-Poch Dembele, so it'll be interesting to monitor his improvement
