Kit New Kit

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Every year FootyHeadlines leak the new kit, no one likes it and everyone complains it looks shit and wonders why can’t it look like x or y kit from years gone by.

Then you give it a season, people get used to it and by the time the next kit leaks you have people crying the kit doesn’t look like the one they originally didn’t like.
Having bought the one they originally didn't like. :levylol:

Oh how i wish i could get to meet this Gooner Nike chief designer!!!

It still looks back to front! Or is that deliberate, for when they win that inevitable trophy, that they can turn their shirts around on the lap of honour, and no one will notice the difference?!!

I missed out on my true calling as a kit designer it seems.

I could coast through a job like that easily.
Most of us could (no offence!)

I genuinely wonder whether Nike (or any kit manafacturer) actually have fans on board of the clubs they're designing for....
Cos if YOU had to wear it, I imagine you'd design it differently!!
They've got to come up with something very different every season for three kits so they're bound to get weirder every year, hence some of the explosion in a paint factory kits and this year's scuba suit.

I really can't get excited about it anymore.
That's half the problem... Why SHOULD we have new kits EVERY year! (Yes, money, I know!)

I get that the days of having one kit design last for half a decade have long gone... but even when I was younger, we had kits last for 2, maybe 3 seasons.... But
EVERY
FUCKING
YEAR!!!!
It's tiresome!
Honestly, I really like the quirky designs we've had over the last few years, starting with the Amsterdam shirt, the black galaxy shirt, the purple one from the same season and now this season's light blue affair, and I quite like this one aside from the silly blue bit on the collar...

Hope it's legit and I'll get one ordered from China ASAP!
But they're all away/3rdkits you've mentioned...
Surely the HOME kit has to have SOME dignity about it...?

Same conversation every single year.
They're not designing kits for grown men to pair with their favourite pair of worn jeans. They're designing kits for kids and youngsters. They're also having to come up up with something that is different enough from the previous season to warrant it actually being a new kit to convince people to buy it.

If for the 1 millionth time, we just had a plain white top and plain blue shorts every year, sales would dry up after 6 months and our kit deal with Nike would be worth as much as a used teabag

If you want us to have a £30m deal with them, you're gonna have to suck it up. No one, Nike, Under Armor, Pony, Le Coq Sportif, will make a new kit, every single season, that is just a white shirt and blue shorts.
Think yourself lucky we only have 3 kits a season. Barcelona currently selling a 1 off for €2k a shirt.
