The manager should favour attacking football, that's the only thing I ask. Appointing another defensive minded manager would be the same as Nuno, Mourinho or Conte.

Bringing Zidane here would be utterly idiotic, but he would never agree to take this job.

We should not be looking at any manager who has won the CL. They bring expectations that our chairman will never share. It has to be another one like Poch. Someone ready to step up and grow together with the club.

All our big name managers under Levy have been shit, even the one that won a trophy. Some of the nobodies have been shit too but the few decent Levy managers like Jol, Redknapp and Poch were not coming off a stint at Real Madrid or Chelsea. We have to bring a manager that matches where we are as a club.

Any project will eventually fail under Levy's shackles.

You're misreading.

Why assume anything? This fucking negative fanbase I swear to god!

Honestly. Whatever you’re drinking, make mine a double. I love your optimism on all of this. 32 years since we won a meaningful trophy, 27 years as a STH, 22(?) years of ENIC, I’m a broken man and not seeing much beyond the negativity right now.

Left overs.
After Brazil, Real Madrid etc have all chosen the best available candidates we will probably persuade someone left over to become our new manager. So whoever doesn't get picked will get us. My guess is Poch will get Real so I think Nagelsmann. If Poch was willing to choose us now, he would have been appointed.
Poch is willing to join us in my opinion. It's us who don't want to appoint him (for some reason).

If any of Nagelsmann, poch, or any other manager of similar ilk comes in they need 2 things.

A) to be given time. No manager with us has finished a full season since poch, this is so bad for any consistency on the pitch and off it. Different players for different managers. Spending fortunes sacking managers

B) to play progressive football. This is so important in my opinion as this is what will get fans back on side and in short give the manager time (point A)to get to where we want to be. I think even if we were 5th and 6th in league in their 1st season but playing some great football and having an exciting cup run would be far better for the club than being champions league pretenders due to other teams failing seasons.

We ain't 4th because Conte and the players have done well. We're 4th because Liverpool and Chelsea are having shit seasons.

There really isn't a quick fix here the next man needs time, not an 18month contract.

wanted enrique but now swung round to nagelsmann, it just feels right.

if he does take it its a huge risk for him, but huge risk equals huge reward as if he does come here and smash it he elevates his stock to the very top of the game.

but if we finished 4th playing shit football, we should finish 2nd or 3rd playing some great football

There is so much smoke around Nagelsmann now, I wouldn't be surprised if he is announced before the end of this season (to start after it finishes)

i dont get the idea of having stellini for a 10 game run in if you can get your man in now. unless naglesmann only wants to come if top 4 is secured.
He won't come now I doub't. He's not struggling to pay the bills. He can have a few weeks to think about things, then watch the last few games to decide who to pour petrol on first, then he can get to work when they all return from their holidays. Which started in November apparently
