I'd rather take a punt on Potter or this Slot fella over Brendan Rodgers.

I fucking loathe that Potter is ex-Chelsea now, that alone makes me feel a bit dirty. However, he was handed a quite shit situation over there and had about 50 new players to bed in midseason. I'm fairly positive Chelsea had January signings to replace earlier January signings that did not hit the ground running.

No fucking clue about Arne Slot but the name has plenty of promise for match-going supporters.

To be totally honest, I am just tired of these re-tread managers that keep popping up. Bring someone in that has some motivation to progress their career. Brendan Rodgers to me is the antithesis of that. He has already went and failed at a big club. His destiny is to keep taking mid table jobs in my view.
Rodgers is a decent coach he just doesn't feel right for Spurs at all. Feels like a third iteration of the Mourinho/Conte thing where a very well known figure in the Premier League is uncomfortably grafted into Tottenham apparel.

Same scenario for Chavs as well as for us, so people here can stop melting and start reasoning. Chelsea wants Nagelsmann, but he wants to take his time until the end of the season because of the Bayern sacking.

Who would have guessed it??? Young talented manager fired just a few days ago wants to think things through and not willing to jump into the clown car that is... Chelsea.

I've been thinking all day about the next Shteve "how you shay" McLaren?
He went to Holland, won the league, scored a fuck ton of goals.
Sounds familiar at the moment and we want to risk having a genuine Dutch Version (Slot)
As for Potter, people believed he was the reason for Brightons rise, where it appears they have a lot of good people there that know what they're doing. They seem to get better whenever they lose a so called star.

I doubt Potter will ever reach any kind of height now as a manager. I'm 100% certain he'll fail at Spurs if we got him, which is fine, but the division it will cause in the fan base will be unbearable.
But everyone is creaming themselves wishing we got Ten Slags instead of Conte.

Slot has overachieved compared to Slags

Nagelsmann would pick them over us without CL football. He'll get whatever he wants and they will try to win everything they can.
Where's the money going to come from? No more Abramovich loans and they blew their load these past two transfer windows. He'll get what they have available and that's pretty much it. If he wants 3-4 new players worth 50-60 mil each, that ain't happening.

Said earlier heard rumours were getting paul Mitchell back. Maybe levy has realised last 4 years have been a messy disaster and putting back what was right a la poch and mitchell returning. Delighted if it is. All sins forgiven.

I’d definitely be happy with Poch and Mitchell back as long as we stick with it.

We are in the second season of a rebuild, likely those 2 means we go back to year 1…

Would be interested to see if Poch might try to keep the WBs and still play his football.

100% he’s putting Kulu in the Eriksen role

Nope. He was only in the job for four months.

So it was significantly near the start AND significantly near the end.
What? No he wasn't. :/

"On 20 November 2019, Mourinho was appointed as the manager of Tottenham Hotspur on a four-year contract"

"On 19 April 2021, Mourinho was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur after 17 months in charge of the club"

How do you think we could possibly have been top in December after only sacking Poch in November due to us having a terrible start to the season?

How can any fan of the club possibly get this so wrong... :/

They were bad under Tuchel and then bought a load of players that didn’t solve their biggest problems…

Still no finishers
Still no ball winners

Mudryk isn’t up to much yet, Fernandez looks like a season away from figuring out the pace of the Prem at least.

Only signing that’s exciting is the LCB Badiashile who we should have signed in the summer
I agree about Badiashile and would have loved for us to sign him. Had anyone else been our manager at the time we probably would have. But we had Conte who wanted an unwilling-to-move Bastoni at all costs (or an unproven Gvardiol for 100 mil), so we got a loaner instead to try for Bastoni again this summer.

Which goes to show that always trying to back the manager isn't always a good idea.

I’m all aboard the DOF model.

Should have got Conte the CB that he wanted.

It was when we didn’t that he’d probably decided that a new contract wasn’t going to get signed.

Can't really see us getting any in demand manager when you look at the way we operate. We will have to strike lucky and I have no idea who that guy is .

We will get one of the so termed best available managers if that is what we want.

Posters got to stop playing to the tune of the dissenters.

Get the right manager, sensible investment and producing as much at least ss the infividual parts.

Conte failed despite not because of any so called way in which we operate.
