For the first time ever I have no opinion on who I'd bring in to replace an outgoing manager ... I literally can't think of anyone out there that I'd fancy.

Depressing AF
I dont think its that bad, I had no clue who De Zerbi was before he went to Brighton and he's been an absolute revelation. Good managers are out there.

The bloke at Sporting is a good coach. As is Thomas Frank but I've always wanted us to do something a bit daring and think Marcelo Gallardo is an interesting risk. No more pragmatic coaches. Spurs play front foot progressive football with the emphasis on keeping possession and attacking our oponents. how Levy can't understand this if fucking baffling

Amorim has a big release clause and Frank signed a 5 year deal. I like Gallardo but I prefer Marco Silva now, he plays good football and will be less of a risk.

Lots of great options out there, the people at the club don't have the foresight to make that kind of appointment though. Lets not forget that our DOF wanted Gattuso and Nuno before Conte. He turned down Fonseca (who isn't inspiring at all) because he wanted to build a defensive team like he did at Juventus.

If we want some continuity on the team we’ve built so far, I’d take Amorim, although I am not convinced he’s that good. I read somewhere that Gasperini (Atalanta manager) is someone Paratici wants if Conte leaves. Iirc Gasperini also uses 3CB formation.

DNA innit mate. I think Levy thinks DNA stands for 'Don't No Anything '

Can Gasperini speak English yet?

All well and good but how’s he gonna do that with PEH and Winks in CM

Franck Haise has achieved miracles at Lens. Bruno Genesio was wrongly abused at Lyon and now doing real good stuff at Rennes. Both teams play superb footy.

Sam Allardyce England GIF

They're out there, for sure, but my biggest problem is that this club has no idea what it wants to be. I thought that some of this would maybe get fixed with Paratici, but the vision seem to be even more hazy than before.

Let's the honest, the supporters are sick and tired of waiting for some type of accomplishment and that makes any type of "project" manager a hard sell. Mason did well enough but nobody was willing to give him the reigns. Nuno was theoretically another project manager even though he had more experience and he was behind the 8-ball from the start and completely bombed.

With Conte, I appreciate that the club was trying to bring on someone who could push us over that hurdle, but frankly we weren't ever truly in alignment. It was just a bad fit if ENIC was never going to hold up their part of what Conte requires.

I'm frankly 100% okay with a project at this point, but IF that's the direction we're going to go then I think we need to do it fearlessly. That's hard for a club of our size as the risk is substantial if it doesn't work, but I just want a vision and I want us to follow it relentlessly. Want a project? Fine, do it and go ALL IN on from the top of the organization all they way down to the youth teams. Want to go the elite route? Fine, just start prepping for financial losses for the next three years.

I'm just so tired of not knowing any longer what this club wants to be and having no idea what we're trying to do. I hope I don't get banned for this, but look at woolwich last season. While the entire world was laughing at them they persisted with a vision and its worked out pretty well. We just make it up as we go along every 12-18 months.

We won’t appoint any of them. Levy has no imagination. It will be Poch. Or Pleat.
