I don't disagree, Poch wasn't perfect and his dillying before the CL final - and selection of Kane - were criminal. Poch ultimately carried the can for the players, who decided they'd had enough of his double training and so on. But you cannot realistically change 25 players. My biggest worry is the board clearly have no idea where they want to go with things. Jumping from Poch to Mourinho was one thing, but then to go to Nuno and then to Conte.. it’s erratic and wild.
Poch had us punching above our weight and dreaming of things we could have only imagined. People will say “you can’t forget his last 18 months”, but you also can’t forget the 4 years prior to that when he was one of the best coaches around.
Both Tottenham and Poch have had some time apart, seen other people and now it’s time to accept they are the best thing for one another.
The problem with Poch coming back NOW is that we still have 13+ players (loan or otherwise) still at the club, at least half of which get regular minutes in the first team. Poch would only really work with a complete fresh start, maybe Kane excepted.
