As stated before Ancelotti staying at Madrid

Poch still in play.

Get In Lets Go GIF by AHS

It is funny how some people don't want managers like Kompany because he'll go to man city eventually or Nagelsmann because he'll only join us if he cant go anywhere else.

Yet they want Poch back who is waiting to see if Madrid are interested in him and as you said will probably try to get the Madrid job even if he comes back.
why is he nailed on to whore himself to Madrid? It's not something i've seen from him whilst employed. He has seemed quite loyal to me but perhaps i'm choosing to ignore evidence to the contrary...?

He flirted with both the Real Madrid and Manchester United jobs during his first spell with us. A lot of panty flashing. Including his "I may quit if we win the final and start something new" interview before the CL final. But it got a bit lost in his declaration that he could never manage Woolwich and Barcelona, even if he has backed down a bit on the Barca claim.

Real Madrid is Pochettino's dream club job. It and the Argentina national team are two jobs that he is pretty open about having on his bucket list.

If Poch comes back here he is not going to chain himself to the stadium and never leave again.

It’s not nailed on but I keep seeing people say that it’s guaranteed that Kompany will try to go to City if he comes here.

My main point is that it’s nothing to be bothered about because literally every manager on the planet would do the same.

If a manager is tapped up or linked that is probably becuase they are doing something good whether it be Harry Redknapp and England or Poch and Madrid. It Kompany smashes it with us could he in 2-3 years end up at City, maybe maybe not but he will have had to take us far to do it.

I mean we could hire Slot and he wins us the title in 3 year time and he Fucks off to Madrid. It’s the price of success.

And in Kompanys case the guy is so professional and dedicated to his project at Burnley. He immediately shuts down any talk about him going anywhere else.

The same can’t be said for other managers we had.

Let’s take the opposite, we hire someone mediocre enough that no big club wants and achieve nothing. That is where the Kompany and City argument ends. Let’s hire someone who will never be wanted by the elite.

I do not want Kompany because people are over rating the job that he is doing in the Championship. The fact is even though the Burnley squad had massive overhaul there is still a core of players there that managed to stick it out in the prem for years and these players are better than most Championship players. This is why Norwich yo-yoed for so many years because their squad was too good for the championship and not good enough for the premier league. No One is saying to go get Daniel Farke because he had Norwich playing some unbelievable stuff in the championship.

Kompany will be found out next season he does not have enough experience in coaching to excel he has only coached for 3 years.

Changing the entire philosophy of a club like burnley in less than a year is unprecedented.

Everyone thought they were mad to get rid of Dyche.

Isn’t it now obvious he was doing that to put pressure on Levy just like Conte with his, will he or won’t he stay manoeuvres?

We have tried the non risk serial winner managers Mourinho and Conte. It turned to shit. It's time for some risk.
We've tried every type of manager though. Serial winners.(Jose, Conte) Up and coming. (Pochetinno) Club legends (Hoddle), Promoted from within (Sherwood) English flair (redknapp) Bearded tramps (Nuno)....Pragmatic with a point to prove (AVB) Assistant sticking plasters (Jol)

You name it, Levy has hired and fired the lot! We've exhausted the text book.

Narrative behind Arteta and Woolwich is always abit muddled.
Hes been just what they needed. Their Pochettino really. Got rid of the deadwood and big egos, promoted youth and got them playing good fearless football all whilst taking advantage of a year where most of the top teams have struggled.
And also received massive financial backing from his board in the summer. Dwarfing the investment seen in our squad DESPITE not qualifying for the Champions League and having a smaller financial turnover and ffp wriggleroom than us.
The turn around in fortune lies squarely on the shoulders of the owners.

I reckon Poch would sit out until 2024 to have a better chance at that job.
Otherwise, he'll come here for a year before whoring himself out again.
Whoring himself out! Have a word with yourself mate.

He showed remarkable loyalty considering his reward for achieving Levy's Top 4 windfall consistently ahead of schedule was One and a Half years of £0.00p investment in his playing squad.
