Ten Hag is a good coach. But I don't think he's the man to take United to the next level.

He's getting praise because he's fresh, plays good football, has them third in the league after the last few years of mediocrity and won them a trophy.

Ultimately, we'd all have taken good football, top four and a domestic cup this season.

All this one game assessment of managers and players is boring.

I think Ten Hag is a good manager nothing more.

Let's not break out into a sweat in each gane and build or dissect based on that.

We got nothing to elevate ourselves on and can hardly be considered decent judges of top coaches/managers.

Don’t think any coach in the world could take ManU to the next level with a back line of Maguire and Linderloff to be fair.

With L Martinez out for the rest of season and Varane constantly injured, ETH will have to earn his pay for ManU to hang on to Top 4 - though getting knocked of Europa League helps their Top 4 chances.

Plays good football ? Whenever I’ve watched their games this season they have been boring as fuck

Watching last night you could turn round and say the Seville manager would be a great shout because they were brilliant but that won’t happen.
We could watch games every week and say they play good football and their manager would be a great fit for us.
Go get Nagelsmann,Enrique or Poch. If we want a project manager then give Kompany a shot.

Just to ensure I understand, has he ever claimed to be 'custodian of the club for the fans'? If not then I'm sorry but that's just a fantasy notion made up by fans worldwide.

Well he’s said “ I’m just the custodian of the club, have responsibility not just to fans in the Uk, but all over the world but also the local community and it is a huge responsibility”

So take that as you will.

Interesting. What games have you watched?

They were excellent against us.
Pretty much every time they have been live on tv and it has not clashed with being at a spurs game - so quite a lot - yes they battered us earlier in the season but with our passive boring as shit inviting teams onto us style if a team gets a bit if momentum we are buggered and it’s just a matter of how many we lose by - that’s why (hope I’m wrong) I can see us losing the next 3 games

Problem with hiring a coach for the premier league is that there are monsters here,

Pep and Klopp are behemoths and most managers end up being a diet version of either of them. Even when De Zerbi apparently turns up with something different, Pep just assimilates it into his system.

In a way it’s why Jose and Conte made some sense because they are the Pep and Klopp of that style of football,

The appointment probably has to be a brave one if you stand any chance of competing seriously with either. Or you hang on and hope either of them leave soon.

Guardiola leaving City will be the best thing for this league from a competitive standpoint.

UTD spent crazy money on Antony, Casemiro, and paying Eriksen massive sums for his age
31 year old Erikson is being paid 150K per week on a 3 year deal until 2025.

34 year old Perisic is being paid 180K per week on a two year deal until 2024.

Both were free transfers. Perisic older and arguably plays in more physically demanding position so Erikson not really on massive sums.

Conte just hates creative players so didn’t wanted Erikson I’m guessing.

Agree on Antony - just a stupid overpay - and Casemiro - big transfer fee for 31 year old tho he has really made United’s midfield better.
