As someone who genuinely loves the bloke and gets my heartstrings pulled by Poch's willingness to come back to this mess despite that being objectively insane, him turning heel and taking over Chelsea would offer a degree of closure for me personally.

I think it will be Rodgers on a shorter term contract.

Sad Jim Carrey GIF

For better or for worse, bowing to the reality of the situation is not Levy's way.
What’s infuriating is that Poch really would help in this situation. I get the fact that you can ‘never go home’, but in terms of our current predicament and grasping for someone to help us, he’s basically the one man on planet earth that can hit the ground running.

That said, I do get the difficulties in that particular appointment.

But on a basic PR level, would Levy really allow him to go to the Chavs without a fight???

I mean, I find it hard to sympathize with the "screw him" attitude if he does go to Chelsea.

We have an open position, he seems to be basically throwing himself at us, and by all accounts, we aren't interested.

Hard for me to feel animosity toward the guy in that case, he's out of work.
He could have gone to Villa - Emery has them flying right now - and there’s always LaLiga.

So he doesn’t have to go to a dysfunctional mid-table Blue Scum. Not like I wish him physical harm OBVIOUSLY - but I do wish him relegation and the ruination of his managerial career if he takes that job.

I can see why Naglesmann might be considered the better option, he is like a German Poch on steroids. But apart from Naglesmann all the other candidates are more of a risk than Poch. Unless Slot or Amirom hit the ground running with us it’s going to look like a giant fuck up and make the fanbase even worse than it is now.

Let's be honest. The moment whoever takes over for Conte does badly there will be people singing Pochettino's name. There are sections of the fanbase that view him as almost Godlike.

Like, not even gooner fans sing like that about Wenger or United fans about Fergie. And Fergie shows up for games all the time.

They partly singing as a dig to LEVY/ENIC, and partly there is pure desperation in this moment of turmoil and the feeling even if its not the best choice right now Poch certainly wouldnt be the worst and we could do alot more worse and partly just needing to vent with the shit show in general... If Poch ends up at the CHAVS I can guarantee you the mahoosive majority will not be singing for poch , unless they are boos.

Also your point about Fergie and Wanker is moot, they cannot ever be managers again, they have both retired end off, so you cant pine over them coming back when there is no chance in hell, with Poch he is young and 100% a possibility, hence your point is moot.

Poch makes so much more sense if we're selling Kane too. He also now makes much more sense with Paratici gone.

The pieces fit together.

if Poch goes there, he will sever most ties and goodwill from our fans, by that i do not mean turning hate towards (although im sure some fans will initially), but any last residual feelings , like a break up with an ex now going out with your foe, by him going there will sever those feelings finally and he and his image will be sullied in the minds of most of fans.

Personally id hate to see him go there, logically and pragmatically i understand of course, but i know it will make me feel sick, especially initially and even after be hard to look at him in the same way, but hey that life
To me it would be Campbell level of betrayal but as overs have said he is an unemployed free agent with a family used to a lavish lifestyle to maintain so good luck to the bloke if he signs for them

I get the feeling some fans are more supporters of Poch than supporters of Spurs. Would people genuinely be that pissed off if Poch goes to the chavs and we get Nagelsmann? I’d personally be delighted. Matt Law more reporting from the Chelsea perspective - feel like he has no idea what’s going on at Spurs.

A different story if we end up with someone a little meh, of course.

Why fight?

I just think it's a sh!t move on Pochettino's part and if gets, that fcuking job I hope it ends in complete failure.

Nagelsmann seems like AVB but with a bit more about him.

He needs to grow up.
