I'd say pochettino has held his hand out long enough to say he wants the spurs job if they asked before Chelsea it's just a very sad shame for some reason that when he is free and out of work and us in such a mess Tottenham haven't maybe made some fairytale story what could have been. It's not pochettinos fault. And I'd say he is still holding his hand out for it now not to be officially announced yet. Very sad

Slot ticks all the boxes
Plays attacking football, develops players, doesn’t seem to take any shite
If it’s him we need to stick by him for the first couple of seasons though, no chelsea bollocks ie calling for his head after maybe a mid table finish next season, we’d be back at square one
I disagree. Absolutely no way should we, the fans, or the club be accepting of a couple of mid table finishes. Whether it's Slot or anyone else.
..No other big 6 / 7 club would take such a limpish, feeble approach. It's probably why they invariably bounce back and win something major.

To be honest, isn't this exactly the sort of thing what Antonio was talking about? A losing culture permeating throughout the club?

I didn't want him but there was a time when the Spurs job was in great demand and managers would throw their hat into the ring.

I get your points but none of the other top clubs need anywhere near the overhaul we do

We’re gonna have to get worse before we get better unfortunately

We probably need to churn through a painful season of inconsistency and mixed results IMO. As long as there green shoots, shit players leaving and a style developing with players pulling in good

The point i was making is that Daniel isn't cheap anymore. He's purchased for much money. But he didn't give them enough salary maybe. But he and his organisation can't buy the right players. I think at least we can agree on that.
The money isn't being spent wisely. Thin that sums it up.
We're spending too much on fees for average players and then paying them more than they're worth making it hard to sell them. The clubs they belong at can't afford their wages, let alone the fees we want.

We need to buy smarter. Actually scout players. If we're not buying ready made winners, we need to find players that other clubs haven't seen yet and spend less on them. At one or two points, we got reasonably good at that.
Levy needs a restraining order as well. Can't be anywhere near the decisions.

So a massive pay cut and downgrade in league.

Chelsea really was a catastrophic career choice for him. I wonder if that is giving Poch some pause.

Huge disappointment for me that we didn't approach Poch, as I think he could have provided again what we need for a rebuild of an actual team, and a strong unit.

Now when this option is out of question, I have given more and more thoughts to the idea of bringing the Celtic manager her - Ange P.

He seems to be a very attack-spirited coach, and is also a very likeable guy. On fan forums are made comparisons to Sir Alex (!) when it comes to man management and skills, and even though the Scottish league is a long way from PL, he has had them in CL. The pressure on a Celtic manager, incl him in his first day there, are also high, and not far from what a new coach will have with us.

In my eyes a more proven and natural choice than ex Slot?

Whatever happened to all the ITKs who assured us all on here that it was widely known by many, many people (who knew what they were talking about) that Levy was going to fuck Conte around so Conte would walk, because he was desperate to get Poch back in ?

Don't tell me that they were full of shit, not on here surely ?

Not sure winning the Scottish League with Celtic is a more impressive achievement than winning the Dutch League with Feyenoord.
And Slot done well at AZ plus did good in Europe the last 2 seasons.

It’s clearly not more impressive than winning the Dutch league but we need to look beyond just historic results and assess styles, cultural fit etc etc and ability to cope with Levys megalomaniac mannerisms for a few years at least
