I find the Ange idea kind of nuts, but the poor quality of the arguments against are like polarizing me into agreeing with it. This is why the internet is bad for people.

Having watched football in Scotland and having watched football in Australia I can tell you the level is incredibly low, incredibly low and any Turkey can come along and manage there. I watched Brisbane roar in 2010 and 11 and I can tell you now it was s***.

Why don't we just go and get Steven Gerard he's won the League of rangers or why don't we want Brendan Rogers as he has won even more titles with Celtic?

Let's be honest he's been humiliated in Europe and that's the level he'll be moving up to it won't be a particularly long stay

spot on! Keep saying just look at list of ex Celtic managers. None have gone to any big clubs anywhere afaik. If we are solely interested him bcos of his record with Celtic then we are fucked. Also can anyone tell me which young players his developed with Celtic as I don’t know.

What I’m saying is the game doesn’t change. Most teams play a similar way. I’m not saying any coach or manager can come to England and do it. Ange is not a clown and certainly knows the game and paid his dues to get a bigger job. He’s dealt with Celtic brilliantly because as I said before the expectation are winning every game but winning comfortably and stylish every game. There’s a big pressure to that and he’s dealt with it well and stuck to his guns when that’s not happened.
How do managers outwith England,Spain,Germany and Italy get a chance if the attitude that they are managing at is shit and they are shit?
Take Ange out the equation here and say it was Amorim or Slot,both in leagues where only 2 or 3 teams can win the league and most of the games should be winnable. Why do they two have a better rep than a manager who’s managed his country and been successful at Celtic in terms of winning trophies and playing a great brand of football?

Your not getting at all. Expectation at Celtic - joke. Have a fucking look at the differential in resources - massive. The Scottish league has been nose diving for years as any decent manager heads South far quicker now and these days so do the players.

The Dutch or German French Italian or Spanish leagues are all far more competitive - that shines through in European competition.

How do managers in others leagues get a chance, by achieving something special. FFS Gerrard won the league!

How do you even begin to come to such a conclusion? A quick Google search gives so many different answers. Uefa alone ranks the Scottish League 9th best yet other sites rate it alongside League 1. Others rate Argentine league in the top 10 worldwide.

Fuck know what criteria to use across federations. One would assume the Brazilian and Argentina leagues to be the best in South America along maybe the Mexican league and the only competition we can use to see how they do is the club world cup where teams from South America tend to always be in the final and lose but not badly.

They did they said they wanted a young project manager with attacking philosophy. Instead we got Munn who knows nothing g about football and had a fraud DOF who didn’t want the above. Sane as last time “go back to our dna”. All bollocks. If we went by the remit then JN would already be announced, we’d be in transfer mode and sorting out the players out and in. Instead we are waiting to see if a SPL manager can match achievements of his predecessors wining the treble and then announce him next week to start rebuild.

Indeed if his record in all those leagues was that good it didn’t impress any club in Europe. Even we didn’t go fir him in 21 befire Celtic hit him.
