Ryan Mason would probably be better than most of those.

I’m really not convinced that Poch is some wonder manager for young players. It always gets repeated, but other than Dele, was anyone developed under him?

And did he play any youngsters at PSG?

Until we get rid of Lewis-Levy-Enic it doesn't matter who the manager is we will be left with the same shit and the same cycle. There here for the revenue, they dont care, they are the enemy within.

Well, ENIC are not here for the revenue because they don't take any. But they seem very much be here for the big sale. It hasn't been the same cycle though, and we need to be careful to not let cheap narrative blank out what actually happened. There were specific stages and successes and failures. Pochettino's time fell apart because squad renewal happened too slowly, and perhaps head coach renewal happened too slowly as well. We then shifted into finding the biggest name managers we could to keep Harry and other players happy, but are not run in a way that allows that kind of manager to thrive. And so Mourinho and Conte both fail because they need someone willing to subsidize their inability to coach players while they play big game tactics. Levy and the board failed to realize that they are not that club. Spurs have grown, but are not a superclub. We're just the biggest cult club, and have to be run like that. Ajax/Benfica/Dortmund plus, not Chelsea/City/PSG minus.

Really?

Kane wouldn’t be anywhere near the player he is without the years he had under Poch. That 2017 season for him was unreal.

Although Dier isn’t great now, Poch had him playing incredibly well as a CDM. He also helped Son improve massively, and Eriksen.

When he arrived he didnt have Toby, Alli, Son, Trippier, Davies, Dier, Wanyama. Kane had played 3 games. Our fans wanted rid of Rose because he'd had a dreadful season, Walker was hammered for his constant brainfarts.

We had to clear out Adebayor, Soldado
Chiriches, Capoue, Kaboul, Lennon, Holtby, Naughton. His first season Stambouli played 25 games, Townsend 35, Bentaleb 35, Mason 37, Fazio 31. Not saying i want him back. I want the next Poch but it was a great rebuild job, he didnt walk into some ready made side.

We were pretty average in his first season. He didn't play Kane until things got pretty bad despite Kane having proven more than capable under Dim Tim.

Poch proved, unfortunately, that once those players declined he didn't know how to deal with it.

That isn't going to be different 2nd time around. Unless we employ a wonder scout.

How about this as a compromise to the Conteout brigade....

Let him get rid of all the shit before he goes. Maybe let him try to lure some half decent players in before he goes.

Otherwise we'll all be back here talking about who we want to replace the guy that replaced Conte in about a year or so.
