Curious as to what people would think if this scenario happened - we string a good run of results and our football quality improves, something like last season. We finish top 4 and Conte would agree a contract extension at the end of the season. Would you support another season of Conte or he needs to be cut off no matter what?
I think he needs to be cut off, it's just not good enough this season. But who knows, with proper wingbacks next season in Udogie and Porro if he signs an extension there might be an improvement.

I'm just not sure if his style of play works anymore in the Prem. It seems like the main attacking tactic we have is to try and lure the opposition in and attack the space in behind and it's just not working this season because teams know whats coming and don't let it happen.

Apparently Levy was willing to get Maddison but Conte said no, I just don't understand why you wouldn't want to have a player like that. You'd think Conte would know the value of a creative player of Maddison's level, he had Eriksen in his title winning team at Inter.

A string of good results from now until the end of the season won't tell me much. We're playing once a week now with nothing to play for. The last 6 months tell me way more than these last few games will.

Surprised there isn’t more of a call for Enrique?

Because people think all big name managers = bad for us. But everyone is forgetting that the two big names we appointed (Jose and Conte) are both “defence first” counter attack managers. Someone like Enrique would be much different.

The three best teams in the league right now are all coached by possession based managers. It’s a style that is clearly working at the moment

The Conte agreeing to an extension is the most unlikely part of this scenario, but even then it’s a no for me.

If it did, I wouldn’t sit around every day just railing against him but I’m 100% done with him. He’s always talked about himself as someone at arms length with the club, never fully embraced it, and has frankly shit on the club every chance he’s had. It has never been a good match from the very start and both parties would be insane to want another year of this.
The most likely scenario here is poch coming back, for most of the fan base it appeases them through nostalgic glasses.
Levy will be beaming, because for a while it takes the heat off of him, the fans will be happy with better football for a while.
It ticks all the boxes for all parties involved, poch won't demand too much, he will then get another young team to play an exciting brand of football, get to a semi final, lose to anyone and we have our Tottenham back🙂👍

Enrique could also get us Spanish internationals who were coached by him in positions that we need. We would have a strategy of targeting more technical players and probably have a better window under him than any other manager. That strategy would be long term as well and leave us with better players even if he leaves.

I’m not paying over 2 grand for my season tickets to watch another season of Conte’s football.
So you don’t think the football we played last season towards the end was the best since peak Poch?

I watched Spain a few times, felt like they’re the most boring attacking team, dominating stats, mostly possession, but creating no chances.

And we don’t have the players to play that type of football.

Why are you moving the goal posts to a period of 10 games from a year ago. I’m talking about the shite served up for this season. If you want to talk about a longer period then I’ll say the shite served up for nearly 4 years by various managers.
