WAS is correct, the lust to bring him back blows my mind
The guy had Messi Suarez Neymar up front and Barcelona’s youth system to work with. What examples do you have about not needing backing and using youth players.Luis Enrique plays forward thinking football, doesn't need ridiculous backing & uses youth players.
I’m not so sure, his managerial targets have been alarming and his recruitment seems to be scattergun and based around connections. I don’t see a clear vision for the team and reports around the Fonseca deal indicated that he favours Conte/Mourinho style pragmatism over attacking football. Doesn’t seem to be a good fit for what most of the fans here want.Maybe i'm in the minority, but I want Paratici to stay if he can focus on finding more players like Sarr and Undogie.
He would make a good combo with a project manager.

If he runs the manager search and it all goes tits up while then getting kicked out it will be another error.
Maybe best giving it to Mason for a few games till the appeal is done and he is gone.
His only real success was Barca which is a club that is always backed and not comparable to spurs. Taking a club from 17th to 9th is decent but nothing special. He likely only got the Barca job due to being an ex player and managing Barca B.Poch had Eriksen Dembele Toby Jan Kane Son & prime Dele and won nothing with us. You can use any logic to fight an argument.
He gave more debuts in 3 years at Barca than Poch did in 5 years here.

My hope is that Gabanini (our head of player scouting under Paratici) will turn out to be the real talent spotter and Fabio leaving won't impact that part too much.
The backroom staff aren't going to leave with Fab like Conte's coaching staff will with him.
I am not in love with poch or anything. I am just not convinced by Luis Enrique.bonaspur23
Take any emotion out of the choice
He is available, uses youth players, doesn't take shit from players, plays forward thinking, fits some of our players and clear club targets & is a big name within football
For me I loved Poch but the thought of him coming here with his choice in transfers and the fact players that let him down are still here isn't great. If he came in sure we would have another season of Lloris as first choice blundering in.

He might be a good fit here but I just don’t see enough.

Firstly he wants his teams to have possession of the football, which I haven’t seen us have in about 4 years. Is high profile enough to demand respect from his players and attract players to want to play under him. Did incredible work at barca who haven’t reached near such heights since he left, did very well at Vigo which is what got him the barca job in the first place, taking them from 17th to 9th.
I just want a dramatic shift in the way we play football and Luis Enrique will bring that, it’s a massive risk but so is pretty much anyone else
