Not really a stackable offence though is it? Nor is being 2nd in your league and in the running for both the title and CL. If any of us got sacked because the guvnor "didn't like us" we'd have major grounds for wrongful dismissal.

I don't know what his contract allows for, but I really can't see that there'd be a "we can sack you if we don't like you" clause in it.

Like I say, the whole circumstance is extremely weird to me.

It's not a sacking in the traditional sense tho.

If they're gonna terminate and pay off his contract then they reserve the right to do it whatever they like.

Nagelsmann is the one, give him a 5year deal.
Stick to the project. Very good coach and plays great football will also have a point to prove after Bayern sacking.

speaks perfect English too.

if we don't get him it will be the best opportunity missed by Enic ever IMO

The no brainer is that he's the guy we wanted all along; 2 years ago... before ETH, Potter Conte, Poch2.0, Nuno ....

There's no sense to this reasoning at all..... I understand waiting if the right guy isn't available until the summer, but essentially your suggestion amounts to "wait to see if our appeal deteriorates".

Conte made his position untenable; it's over.

If JN is our man, then just nail it and start looking to the future. If that means Mason as caretaker then so be it.

If by some miracle we get top 4; Pep isn't gonna suddenly come running.

I assume JN is not naive enough to join now.
happy to be wrong

Just makes so much sense. In this Era of the new stadium as a club we haven't really been connected as a whole since we been there. We need a successful project to unite it. I genuinely think he's the manager we need.

For him too if he does come I believe he could be the first legend of the new stadium. as much as we seem to be a poisoned chalice to some we still have significant pull.

I suspect, every single soul on here absolutely knew that gif was coming on the back of the post, you're replying to. Just a question of who would pull the trigger.
Everyone else: Calm down...don't do it, lads :romerohold:

You: :romeroshock:

To the fans who say get Poch:

In his tenure, Poch had Walker, Toby, vert, Danny (at his peak), he also had Dembele and Eriksen in the middle and to top it up he had Kane (club, country and soon PL top scorer) plus Son. Poch had a PL winning team but he didn't deliver a single trophy. He was the nearly man. Same fans were complaining about his style of playing of sideways and backward passes but they have Goldfish memory.

What can Poch do today with an ageing Lloris and front of him Dier, Langlet and Davies, to add he has misfiring Son plus Hoejberg and Perisic on zimmers?!

Let's be honest, Conte has done fine but to his mismanagement during games, ie subs and boring football. The rants are amusing. It's hard to say we are better than shekhcity, woolwich or manure. Be real.

We need a manager who will develop our players and get the Spurs way of playing entertaining football with spirit. Get the German who was just sacked from Bayern.

How can you talk about people's memories when you clearly forgotten Poch turned those players into better versions of themselves, when he came in do you not remember how they were playing in the Sherwood era compared to how they were playing on the peak Poch era, to actually imply that Poch didn't develop any of our players is just straight up BS.

Those players where mostly deadwood before he arrived. Dembele was often a bench player unfit and never passed, Walker and Rose in a particularly a total mess, Kane was good but not remotely what he became, Verts looked like he wanted to leave under AVB.

It was a worse team than now, we relied on Bentaleb and Mason in the early days. Poch has some issues but that was no Real Madrid team he was handed, he built it and yeh it didn’t quite get there beaten by a Chelsea with peak Hazard and Kante.

We have the spine of a good young team. Skipp, Bentancur, Bissouma, Sarr, Porro, Udogie, Richarlison, Romero, Kulusevski, Royal etc. I would rather Naglesmann than Poch but Poch turned water into wine the first time round. He may not do it again and he might not be the right guy but the revisionism over his tenure always baffles me.

He is by miles the best manager during ENIC tenure. Naglesmann is actually very similar to Poch in many way but a bit more flexible tactically which was perhaps something Poch could improve on.

I like Tuchel, great manager but so combustible and his football style at Chelsea a bit boring. Don’t think it would have worked, Bayern might have done us a favour.

Tuchel is very adaptable which I think suits an elite team, always thought he would be great at a Bayern or Madrid.

Rubbish. Probably one of the worst posts I’ve seen to be honest.
Was you supporting spurs when Pochettino took over?
Most of the great players we had then were not great when Pochettino first took over.
The person you describe who you want to take us over is Pochettino 2014. He may not still be that same manager but he rooted out the bad eggs, blooded the youngsters and improved the players we had that were on board with him
